3 months post op and SO happy
WORTH IT
Hey ladies! Just dropping in to apologise for my lack of updates and say I'm officially 3 months post op today. I feel AMAZING. I'm back to my yoga practice full throttle, and getting stronger every day. I am so happy to report that I am in love with my soft real boobs so much, and appreciate them more than ever. I feel so much more womanly and beautiful without those big awful balls on my chest. I have also realised how incredibly bloated I used to be before my implants were removed, and I'm so glad to not look so inflamed anymore. My scars are fading, but still are quite dark (however I tend to scar pretty dark for awhile before they lighten so this doesn't concern me) and I have lost the tiniest bit of volume in my breasts since the initial explant/fat transfer, but all in all I am beyond happy with my result. It feels truly amazing to once again be pain free and living and loving my life. If you are struggling with or hate your implants and are on the fence about taking them out, don't be! You can have a beautiful result regardless of what some doctors might say. Find a doctor who has the same goals as you, and trust that your body will do the rest.

Week 3 post explant (22 days post op)
So yesterday was the 3 week mark since I had my explant surgery. And I'm feeling great! I'm not taking painkillers anymore (just a couple Advil before bed as maintenance to keep any residual swelling down) and am continuing to massage my tummy every morning and evening. I also had my first Vbeam session at Dr. Cassileth's clinic (she includes 2 complimentary sessions after fat transfer to help with healing and evening out the skin) yesterday and it was a little uncomfortable, but the nurse, Jane is absolutely wonderful and helped me feel at ease. I'm loving my new breasts more and more every day. Just counting down this last week so I can get back to yoga again! Attaching some pictures for you all to see the progress :)

Week 2 post explant
Well today marks two weeks since I had my explant surgery and I am feeling pretty damn great! I'm hardly taking painkillers at all (around two advils twice a day and that's it!) I've been cleared to FINALLY sleep on my back again (hallelujah!) and to be able to remove the foam and binder from my tummy where the fat was harvested for my breasts (double hallelujah!) I still need to continue my compression garment 12hr on/off a day for the new few weeks, but honestly I am so thrilled. My bruising is less every day, and my tummy is sore still but I've been massaging it religiously to remove any weird lumps and bumps. In addition my doctor and her team have been AMAZING. They use a messaging system called KLARA and anytime I have any question or concern (no matter how trivial) the head nurse (who is an absolute angel) gets back to me ASAP. I feel very well looked after. Their aftercare has truly been phenomenal. I'm posting photos of my body and breasts so you can see how they're coming along, and honestly if you are nervous or on the fence about removing your implants DONT BE! Do it! It's so worth it. And if you can, goto Dr. Lisa Cassileth in Beverly Hills because she is THE BEST! Will update again at week three and then one month post op! xx

You look great!!! So happy for you and your decision!!! Hallelujah!!!
Hallelujah indeed! Hehehe thank you so very much x
WOW! You look absolutely amazing! That is fantastic :D Congratulations. Dr. Cassileth really did a wonderful job. I too have read about her - she sounds really skilled. If she just wasn't located so far away from Denmark where I live :b Can you tell me about your muscle - did she fix it? That is my greatest concern 7 weeks post explant - the muscle distortion is so annoying! My surgeon says that it can not be fixed (he hasn't heard about it)
Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words and support :) I am sorry to hear you're having issues with your pectoral muscle. I did indeed have extensive muscle repair on each breast as Dr. Cassileth said it's the only way to avoid the muscle distortion you're talking about. Does it cause you pain? I'm sorry your surgeon didn't provide you with that service, but it can absolutely still be fixed. I know you're so soon after explant so try and be patient and see if over time it improves! If you have to you can have surgery again (I know this is not ideal) and have it repaired with a doctor who is confident in this skill. I wish you the best and happy healing xxxx
Thank you so much for your answer! Another surgery is ok - if it Can be fixed. It is really good to hear that it Can be fixed - surgeons dissagree on this topic. But DR. Cassileth Sounds so skilled :)
It is causing me discomfort and it looks bad :/ I must talk to my surgeon! Thank you again!
And happy healing :D

From what's my doctor told me it is possible to fix for everyone it just needs to be assessed and done by someone who is confident and experienced in the surgery! Definitely consult with your PS about this, and you are so welcome. Happy to share the little knowledge I have. We all must stick together :)
Indeed we must :) Thank you so much again! Sounds so good!
