37, First Time in Braces, Damon Clear - Surbiton, GB

Here are some photos taken roughly 8 months after starting treatment. I think that things are progressing well. Since my last appointment I've been wearing elastics. I found it to be very painful for the first 48 hours but soon got used to them. I think I'm about halfway through treatment now.

So I've now had the braces on for 2 months and went back to the orthodontist yesterday for the first time since having them fitted. For the past few weeks the braces were pretty comfy except for a little bit of rubbing on the inside of my right cheek. I could pretty much eat most things within reason. Yesterday I got a larger archwire fitted to my top teeth but same wire on the bottom except for a larger coil spring to try and create a bigger gap for the instanding molar to move into. I had an x-ray and CT scan taken yesterday, it turns out I have some unusual roots which are a bit crooked which may make moving the teeth a bit harder. Am hoping it won't delay my treatment time too much! I also have some awkward wisdom teeth but luckily they decided it would be worse to try and remove them. Phew! My teeth are sore and tender again today, am finding it a little bit hard to eat, hoping it won't last too long this time. I haven't got any photos to upload at the moment because apart from the initial change to my lower teeth, I can't see any differences at the moment.
