Dr. Momeni is incredible and I feel so blessed to have had him as my surgeon for my breast reduction. I made the decision to have this surgery (which I longed for for years) after a combination of not being able to find any bathing suits I could feel comfortable in for a recent vacation + suffering increased shoulder/neck pain from the physical demands of being in medical school (running around for hours then sitting at a desk studying for hours) with boobs that just seemed impossible to hold up due to their sagging weight. My upper back was curving more than it ever did and my body just felt so miserable. I knew the demands on my body would only get worse throughout my medical education, training, and career, so I took the plunge. I'm now 4 days out from the procedure (breast reduction and lift with the lollipop incision technique) and i feel and look amazing. By some miracle, I never had ANY pain after the procedure--I didn't once need to take Tylenol after my surgery, let alone any prescription painkillers. I was walking around singing and Snapchatting my friends when I got home from the surgery center. Nobody could believe how well I felt and how normal I looked after having a big surgery with general anesthesia. I totally credit my wellbeing to the nerve blocks and superior medical care I receive from my dream team: Dr. Momeni, my wonderful anesthesiologist, and thenurses and PAs zwho took care of me. I feel so happy and comfortable in my body. Before the surgery, my breasts had always been extremely saggy despite the fact that I'm only in my early twenties. I wish I had some before photos saved but I was too self conscious about the sagging to even take any. For that reason, I didn't have high expectations for getting a lifted, perky result--I basically had just hoped to feel increased comfort and less pulling on my skin and shoulders from my breasts hanging. Based on before and after photos I'd seen on realself of women with breasts like mine, I was really just hoping for a smaller cup size so that I wouldn't have to wear such cumbersome, matronly bras to hold me up. I didn't feel like I saw many pictures of women with major drooping in their before photos who had ultra perky breasts after surgery, so I guess I just assumed it wasn't really possible. Man did I get the surprise of my life when the bandages came off. I cried tears of joy when I saw them revealed for the first time at my 24 hour post op visit. I can't believe the magic that dr. Momeni worked--I really never imagined they could be so wonderful. Two of my friends saw my results after the procedure and are already considering seeing Dr. Momeni for a breast reduction. Of course if you're having surgery, the most important thing is the skill of your surgeon and their ability to produce great results. But we all also want our doctors to be kind, patient with our questions, and reassuring. Dr. Momeni reallt is both a gifted surgeon and a warm, affable person. I love my doctor and I'm thrilled with this procedure even with all my stitches and bruising still visible. Immediately after this surgery I notice a difference in my posture and comfort in my back. I'm standing up straight and my shoulders aren't rounding over anymore. My only regret in this whole journey is that I wish I had done this a few years sooner so that I could've enjoyed the results throughout college! Im making up for lost time now though--I can't stop smiling! I'd travel from across the world if I had to to have any procedure with him and I'd recommend anyone I love to do the same. If you are considering plastic surgery, know that your body is not the thing to cut corners with. I recommend Dr. Momeni a million times over. He really is the best.
