New fave hobby...bikini shopping!
I feel like that has been the key to my quick recovery...I am patient with myself and I continue to maintain a positive perspective. There isn't one thing that I would change!
It has been a wonderful summer of reinventing myself and looking as good as I feel!
Continued healing and blessings to you all!
Week 3
Thank you for all of your kind words and advice. The experience has been made easier by being able to be honest about expectations, concerns and questions with people who were supportive & understanding, As I have said, I made the choice out of self love, not self hate, and I am grateful for you all appreciating that.
Continued happy healing!
Day 15
Provider Review
Thus far, my interaction with the doctor and his staff has been extremely positive. Dr. Momeni is well qualified, and patient. He promptly entered the room with a wonderful smile that immediately put me at ease. He explained my options clearly, and he did not "try to sell" the more expensive procedure. I appreciated that most. I opted for the full tummy tuck instead of the mini. Dr. Momeni discussed pain medication, drainage tubes, and the shape of my new naval. The latter was a real concern for me-- I didn't want a weird looking belly button!! Lol! He also talked about scarring and what the scar may look like on my skin color. The surgical nurse was kind and knowledgable. We discussed my post op concerns such as: mobility, showering, driving, and bowel movements. She encouraged walking along with natural laxatives to help with the constipation that comes with taking pain meds. I have chosen to not stay overnight in the hospital, but I will have CNA to help me when my husband returns to work. I also have rented a hospital bed, so I will be able to rest comfortably--I cannot do a week in a recliner!
