New fave hobby...bikini shopping!
WORTH IT$10,000
Hello my surgical sisters! I am two months 6 days post op. I feel wonderful! Dr. Momeni has released me from care without restrictions. My scar has healed well, but I am diligent about wearing my Mepitac tape. It does seem to be improving the color of the scar, but I am not particularly worried about it. I will take this scar far over having the yucky stretch marks and flabby skin! LOL I prefer to wear Spanx because sneezing or quick movements can feel uncomfortable without them. I do retain water as the day goes on, but I anticipated this, so I don't let it bug me.
I feel like that has been the key to my quick recovery...I am patient with myself and I continue to maintain a positive perspective. There isn't one thing that I would change!
It has been a wonderful summer of reinventing myself and looking as good as I feel!
Continued healing and blessings to you all!

Week 3
It's been a great journey. I feel better each day. I am regaining my flexibility more noticeably, but I am still very limited ( I.e grabbing my purse from the back seat!! Whoa! Hurt! I won't be making that mistake again! Hahaha I am doing cardio 3x a week.-- just walking.
Thank you for all of your kind words and advice. The experience has been made easier by being able to be honest about expectations, concerns and questions with people who were supportive & understanding, As I have said, I made the choice out of self love, not self hate, and I am grateful for you all appreciating that.
Continued happy healing!

Day 15
Ding dong the tape is gone!! The PS removed it today, and he was very pleased with my progress. I am delighted with his expertise and his ability to see me as I wanted to see myself. I am so grateful! I have silicone tape to begin using in a few days when the scab is gone, but my incision looks "perfect" for what it is. Its well hidden under my bottom, not jagged and no dog ear flaps at my hips! Happy....still just happy!
