Removal of an Old Wrist Tattoo and a Fresh Wrist Tattoo

WORTH IT$4,000
I recently got a tattoo on my left wrist. It's a watercolor flower in black and red. I have loads of tattoos (all hidden), and I love all of them. I loved this one too when I first got it. However, after living with it for a few days, I realized that it's too large for my arm, and I hate that it is ALWAYS visible. So, I've made the decision to remove it. I have had the tattoo on my right wrist for years. It hasn't aged very well. So, I've made the decision to remove it alongside the other wrist tattoo. I'm waiting 2ish months for the tattoo to fully heal before I go after removal. I went on several consults, and all the places in NJ that I went to had PicoSure with the attachments for red and black ink removal. So, it really came down to price for me. I live in Princeton, and Hazen wanted to charge almost 2x what Ethos quoted me at for literally the exact same treatment. My treatment would be performed by an MD at both facilities, so there didn't appear to be any difference in quality (it's literally the exact same laser machine and attachments). So, I obviously went with Ethos. I prepaid 6 sessions on each tattoo ($2300). It will likely take more, but I figured we could start at 6 and see where we end up. Deities be with me...I've heard removal is painful, and I'm crazy nervous for my first appointment which is rapidly approaching! I'll post some photos after!

Thanks - the tattoo itself is really good work. I think it's just too large. I have lot of other very large pieces (on my thighs and back) but they are hidden, and I choose when I show them. So, I'm ready to get rid of both of these...

We're in the car, on the way, as I type this! I thought I would be more scared, but I'm actually really kind of excited. I think I've kind of "mourned" the tattoo, and moved on. I'm just excited to start the process of removing it. (Even though I suppose it will likely be long and tedious and painful.) I included some photos of my tattoos all wrapped up with emla cream (2 hrs before Treatment). I'll follow up with some photos later today.

Honestly...I was so scared that it was going to be painful, and I didn't find it painful at all. It's certainly no worse that getting the tattoo. Take that as you will...I know everyone has different pain thresholds. We only treated the black. Red Treatment begins next session. They have the 532nm Picosure hand piece for reds, and if my red is resistant, they have a RevLite laser in house they can use on it. But, we're going to start with all Picosure and see it goes. I included photos of the laser settings, and photos of both tattoos immediately after treatment. I had a ton of frosting on the black (which was kind of fun to see.) I'll post photos as it heals.
