After childbirth I was in a size an H cup on the right side and an I cup on the left side. Along with excessively large breast came the typical back, shoulder, and neck pain. I was also finding it hard to do daily activities such as exercising, physical sports, cleaning house, playing with my two year old daughter, and even harder to find bras/shirts that fit properly without having to shop in the plus size women section for them. My breast reduction/lift took me down to a size DD which was one of the best decision I made and gave me instant pain relief. My only recommendation to women with young children is to wait until your child is old enough to understand what is going on and/or somewhat can care for themselves. If it wasn't for my husband and mother being at the house to help care for me and our kids I am not sure what I would have done. My daughter is only two years old and she had a hard time understanding why mommy couldn't pick her up, cuddle, or play with her for quite some time after surgery. You will be very limited the first week after surgery as to what you can do and/or what your body will physically let you do. The second week post op you will start to find things getting easier and also you will be more comfortable moving around (i.e. I work from home and now that I am two weeks post op I can sit at my computer to do work). For me the pros & cons equaled each other out and am 110% glad that I had the procedure done!
