Lip Lift. Take 2! - Sugarland, Texas NOT WORTH IT

My lip transformation journey started in Novemeber...

Corinnej7
$3,000
My lip transformation journey started in Novemeber when I got the perma lip. Although, it made my lips fuller I still had a very long lip and spacing between my upper lip and nose. I had my first lip lift in March. I had some asymmetry and scarring. This review is on my new lip lift from a different doctor.

Hi Corinnej7, You look amazing. Is the last photo really taken ONE day Post surgery?. You don't mention pain or anything. Can you explain a little more in detail your experience and probably take a few more pictures?. Many thanks and congratulations to you and Dr. Horndeski!!!

Hello :) this is day one. The night I got home from Texas (after 2 flights) the pain was worse this time because I had a lot of scar tissue but I took a Vicodin at the airport and when I got home and it really helped! I'm posting pics today :)

Everything is going well. No pain. Still swollen in my face and nose, but that is normal. The right cupids bow is still slightly higher, but it has always been before any surgery. I just couldnt tell as much because I barely had an upper lip.

I wanted to add it brought a youthful appearance to your face. I think this procedure makes women prettier and younger looking (you were already). Again, so happy for you that you found the right doctor and decided to get this done again.

Looks great!! If your cupids bow bothers you another great procedure that would help that would be permanent cosmetics, you could have your lips tattooed either pink, red etc. and that can even that out for you

Thanks! It's only noticeable in selfie pics. I can't see it when I look in the mirror. Thanks for the info!

Mm's removed

Corinnej7
5 mm's were removed for the first surgery.
4 on right and 5 on the left this time, with 9 mm's removed from the corners. I measured at 2cm's before any surgery.
I will re measure after the swelling has gone down.

Thank you for the info! Really helpful to get an idea

You're welcome! So excited to see your results!

Do you know what the potential problems would be if you had had 10mm removed the first time?
Did you choose to take out only 5mm the first time for a reason -- like perhaps just dipping your toes into the water?
Did you get 5mm removed the first time from the corners as well, or the 5mm that were removed came only from the center?
August 10, 2015
I don't think any PS likes to remove more than that due the strain on the incision. (Unless the muscle is involved) I think 6mm's were taken from the corners the first time. My corners were done both times. Have you scheduled yours yet?
August 10, 2015
I have my consultation with Dr Rodriguez August 13th. I have had rhinoplasty that took out a lot of cartilage (too much) from my nasal tip and I wonder if that will impact the ability to have a good outcome with a lip lift. To what exactly does the PS anchor the stitches? Is it all attached to the outer skin and nothing to any other structure?
August 11, 2015
I don't understand why you said that 9mm were removed from the corners. I don't see any scars on the lip's corners. Or do they lift the corners lifting the ends of the nose base? You look fantastic already!!!!
August 11, 2015
He removes the mm's from the sides of the nose. That is why the incision goes up around the nostril :)
Thank you so much!!
August 12, 2015
That is what I thought but another doctor told me that the corners were not going to lift just mainly the middle. You look great!!! Thanks
