Dr. Horndeski probably has one of the worst...

$3,500
Dr. Horndeski probably has one of the worst bedside manner I have experienced to date. Perhaps I'm just unlucky with surgeons because I keep going to these doctors that are raved on Real Self, but only to have horrible results. He performed a lip lift on be approximately a year ago. He was running behind on the day of my procedure and rushed through my surgery. In the process, there were areas that were not stitched up and I ended up with terrible scarring. To add insult to injury, my nostrils were completely different. It had a natural inward curve before, but after the surgery my nostrils lost their curve and looked unnatural and straight on my face. Honestly, I looked like a monkey. I was told on the phone that a scar revision would be free of charge so I made an appointment to come in for the revision and booked my flight. Only when I arrived on the day of the appointment, he told me that he isn't responsible for how I scar and I would have to pay $1000. I was already there so I paid since I had no other choice. Here's the kicker... during my follow up appointment to remove the stitches, he forgot what type of stitching he did on my and kept pulling at the stitch. The PA had to stop him and tell him that it's not the pull kind and he needed to snip it. Afterwards she step out of the room and he proceeded to take out the stitches on the right side of my face. Then he abruptly stopped and stepped out of the room. The PA came back in the room and said Dr. Horndeski wanted her to finish it. When she was done she told me I had an opening on the right side of my nostril and that I should keep applying ointment on it. I asked wouldn't it scar like before and she said I will be fine. Turns out, Dr. Horndeski had removed too much skin during the revision and it did not close up. I had to get a skin graft done on that area by a different doctor. I do not recommend this doctor since he places all blame and poor outcomes on the patient. I advise you to steer clear of this doctor unless you want your nostrils distorted and unsightly scars.

What kind of lip lift effects the nostrils?
I had an upper lip lift or bullhorn lip lift. If you look at many of the Real Self lip lift patients, you'll see that many of nostrils have changed after the procedure. You can read it in their reviews as well as users comments.
Where's the photos?
im sorry to hear that. Are you comfortable posting pictures so to help others who are looking into a lip lift by Dr H?
I can post pictures of the nostril change and skin graft.
Please do!
I'm very sorry that happened to you. Can you post pictures please? It would lend credibility to your review.
I don't have a picture from after the scar revision. But I can post one of my skin graft to the area that was over resected.
That's okay, anything to bolster your review is great. You also said that your nostrils were distorted, how so? Did he remove your sills? Again, I'm so sorry that this happened to you.
Im considering this surgeon for this proceedure. Please pist pics, it would really help!
I'm going to him on August 7th!
When is your appt?
Hi Corinnej7, probably September, still figuring out timing. Good luck. I'm so excited to finally get this done!
Nice! Good luck to you too!
I'm going August 25th! Hopefully our experience is better!
