Lip Lift My Final Surgical Journey - Sugar Land, TX

ORIGINAL POST

Just consulted with and booked a Lip Lift...

WORTH IT$3,000
Just consulted with and booked a Lip Lift procedure with Dr. Horndeski. I have read many of the Real Self stories and really love most of the results. As you can see my philtrum is 2 cm long! I am really unhappy with this part of my face. He talked about taking 4 to 6 mm with the Bullhorn type lift but will have to evaluate me in person. I am scheduled for Thursday, August 20th. I really hope this works out.

Getting Nervous with so many mixed reviews :(

tammylg3
After all the positive and negative reviews I am getting really nervous and confused about whether to proceed with the lip lift. I I don't want ripples or big scars as some have complained of. Any feedback whether personal or public is greatly appreciated.

here is the bottom line... You are not going to get it all taken off the first surgery with this doctor that you have chosen... He does a revision on everybody... If he's so talented which I'm not saying he's not.... then why doesn't he do it right the first time... He knows exactly what needs to be taken off... But he makes another thousand dollars when you come back... And it's unfortunate because you have to go through the surgery a second time... With that said.....be sure to address all your concerns with him especially the rippling... As far as your scar people freak out when they see it right after surgery it really does take about 6 months to heal... Good luck with your surgery you're going to look beautiful

I think the reason he takes the skin off in stages is to decrease the tension on the skin and decrease the possibility of nasal distortion.

W your lip shape and nose shape I think it will look good. Doesn't look like you need it lifted dramatically because of your full lips, so conservative might be good for you anyway. Also the bottom shape of your nostrils is already more straight so you won't be worried about the sills(?) so much. Think it will be good. It's normal to get nervous before any surgery.

Hey, I know exactly what you mean. I see him 5 days after you and I am nervous too. I am mostly worried that I will look strange somehow. The rippling is especially worrisome. I really don't want to ruin my nose job either, but so far people have said that the nose goes back to normal after time. I do not have full sills. I will post a pic today. I had an alar reduction. I hope that means he can just follow the lines my other surgeon used.

i wonder if the rippling at the sides with HeyJani's lip lift or any others might be because he seems to take way more off the corners than some other doctors. In some reviews I've read he's taken 8-9 mm off the corners with much less in the center. I always wondered how taking so much off around the corner would affect sides of the mouth, the smile lines, and the nasolabial folds. It could also just be that the rippling is from swelling and will resolve itself eventually. I will say that I think your face would benefit more from a lip lift than some of the other people that have recently posted the mixed reviews. So even if there are a couple of minor imperfections that come about as a result of the procedure, for you, the overall benefit might outweigh the costs whereas for the others, it didn't.

I think I agree with you shooz33. I do think I have a long space between my lip and nose. More than any other I have seen. For me it will probably be worth it. It will make my face more proportional. I decided to stick with my plan and keep my appointment. Thanks for your unbiased opinion.

You are the perfect candidate for a lip lift... And the bonus is you already have nice lips... So your outcome is going to be beautiful... It's going to completely change that part of your face... Good luck to you and your surgery... Best wishes
