Day 5 stitches out, stay way too far from normal
Hi guys, Thank you all for your comments and support. I'm going through the worst days of my life and reading your comments really helped.
So here is an update.. It's day 5 and stitches are out. I have 3 concerns 1- the thickness of my columella 2- The shape and size of my uneven lips 3- my nostrils and the whole base of my nose.
I'm horrified of the fact that I might end up with this face forever. I mean he cut 9mm off from my skin! that would never look good or normal. and again he just told me he'll make my 16mm to a 12mm. I would never let him cut 9mm from the sides, ever! no one would! Tomorrow is Monday and I'm supposed to get back to work. My scar is till visible but I couldn't care less about my scar now. The funny thing is that scarring was what I used to be worried about the most.

I've always wanted a fuller upper lip and a shorter space between my upper lip and nose.
I saw amazing results here on Realself so I decided to go for it. After some research, I decided to have my procedure done by doctor Horndeski in Texas. I live in Seattle but I would go any where to get a good result because it's my face after all. I had my consultation by the phone. I met Dr.Horndeski in the 17th of March. He took measurements and took some pictures. He said that I had 16mm space between my nose and upper lip lift and that he's going to make it 12. I thought 4mm is just right and it's going to be a subtle result. I learned later that the 4mm were taken off from the center and another 9mm were taken off from the corners, which is really freaking me out! He never mentioned the 9mm thing and it's is certainly a lot of skin! Any way, the procedure wasn't easy for me. The numbing shots were very painful and I experienced a bad pain and burning feeling one hour after the procedure. The plan was to go back to Seattle at the same day but on my way to the airport, I had a bad nausea. When I got to the airport, I went immediately to the restrooms to throw up. My sutures started to bleed and hurt really bad so I canceled my flight and went to a hotel. It was a horrible night, I kept vomiting and I barely got any sleep. I couldn't wait until the morning and I went to see Dr.Horndeski. He told me every thing is fine and my sutures are sealed.
I'm on day 4 and I'm freaked out by the shape and size of my lips. not to mention that my nose looks horrible and my nostrils have drastically changed. The doctor assistant told me maybe I have too much swallowing because of the vomiting and she assured my that it's going to be alright but I can't stop thinking "what if this is how my lips and nose are going to look like?" I cry every time I look in the mirror. I'm really trying not to jump to conclusions because it's still early but I saw people here looking great just 2 days after the surgery. I really hope things get better soon
