After a few years of thought and discussion with my husband, I decided it was time to give myself a gift. After having four children my breasts were a deflated 36C. I am 51 years old. I’ve never been a person interested in breast implants but a lift was something I’d looked at over the years. I was always discouraged by the thought of a traditional lift as it provided no upper breast fullness and had visible scaring. I honestly thought my best bet was a really good underwire bra.
After being introduced to the Bellesoma Method, I became very intrigued by Dr. Horndeski and the Bellesoma procedure. I read his publications in the medical journals about his unique technique for his breast lift and also tummy tuck. I also read just about every review on Real Self that I could find. Once I decided on him as my doctor, I called and set up a phone interview with him as I live out of state.
After emailing my photos to Jana (who by the way is amazing). I had my phone interview within a few days to answer all of my questions. Dr. Horndeski answered all of my questions in a way that was easily understandable and thorough. I felt so comfortable that I scheduled my UBL.
I traveled to Houston on a Wednesday and met with the doctor. I was impressed with his office and his staff. I was a bit nervous after reading reviews about his bedside manner. I was pleasantly surprised that he was thorough and patient with my many concerns regarding surgery.
I received all required paperwork and prescriptions and was ready for surgery on Friday. I couldn’t figure out why with so many hospitals in Houston, he went to a hospital so far from his office. I found the answer, the Brazosport Hospital is where he performs many of his procedures, had the best hospital staff from check in clerk, to nurse, to anesthesiologist. You can tell that they work with him often and understand his procedure and all that it entails. All measurements and photos were done at the hospital by Dr. Horndeski the morning of the surgery in a private room reserved for him. In my particular case, he was training another doctor on the procedure. The presence of a second doctor did not bother me at all. The surgery lasted about 5 hours and I was back released early evening.
My husband and I stayed in a hotel for the weekend so that I could recover. By Sunday when he needed to fly out of town to get back home I was completely fine to stay by myself. Outside of not really being able to lift my arms, I was fine moving about. I stayed in town until the following Wednesday so that Dr. Horndeski could remove my drains and make sure I was healing well. I flew home and I returned to work the next day.
I am now 7 weeks post op. Eliza his PA (who is also amazing) asks that all of the Bellesoma patients send pictures in so they can review results and keep an eye on healing. She has truly been great answering my many questions.
I couldn’t be happier with my results. I actually can’t remember my breasts being this perky and close to perfect even prior to having children. Just by the nature of the how he does the procedure was a benefit I did not expect, the skin of my décolleté has tightened up and looks years younger.
My scars are already lightening up and my breasts are rounding out just as they described. I wear my bra 24/7 as they recommend. I have to admit one of the harder aspects of the process is finding the correct bra. Once I did, I felt comfortable that it was doing the job needed to help shape my breasts. I’m excited to see what they look like at the 6th month mark.
To be honest, I don’t know why any person wanting a breast lift would not pick the Bellesoma Method. With no visible scaring, upper breast fullness and no implant, it can’t be beat. I guess it would be because they simply didn’t know about it.

Dr. Horndeski was very experienced and explained the Bellesoma Breast Lift Method to me thoroughly. He explained what to expect with all aspects of the surgery as well as anticipated/realistic results and timelines. He is also careful to point out differences in how people heal and follow aftercare procedures and how these things can affect results. He watches your weekly progress closely after surgery to make sure that you are healing properly and there is not complications. He has great bedside manners and I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking to have a breast lift!!
