Other the he said I was doing too much. So now I'm a couch potato and hate it. :(
I just started experiencing holes and leakage
How far long are you?
I got the same thing and it only healed over by week 12. It got bigger before getting smaller. And it hurt. But finally it started to heal. Those of us with huge reductions are a greater risk of this. My doc kept assuring me it would heal, and he was right. Good luck with your healing.
Thanks for reassuring me. :)
You are welcome! I remember how worried I was, thinking the worst. It will get better, I promise ❤️
Oh my that looks painful. It is looking a lot better compared to the first pic tho! It is so frustrating to be limited on daily activities. It will be worth it in the end, but the waiting is the hardest part! How are u feeling otherwise? Has the pain in your sternum and everywhere else let up? U are the first I have come across that experienced the paralyzing, cant breathe sternum pain. I explained it to my primary dr by telling her that it felt like my chest cavity was caving in. It would crack sometimes in the process. It hurt so bad that I couldnt move or breathe. She told me it was physically impossible for my chest cavity to cave in. I said well that may be so but thats what it feels like! It was very scary when it would happen. It happened at work once (embarrassing) and I always feared it would happen while driving. Luckily that never happened. The last time I had it happen was when they were moving me from my bed to the operating table. I hope overall u are feeling better. This wound will heal soon. Is it on the side u use more ? Im right handed and I have been trying to use my left hand more. Its difficult!
It's my left side that I use least. But I think the first two weeks I did too much thinking I was ok. But week 3 to now it has gotten so big so fast. But I am finally under the care of VON nurse who are now dressing it for me every two days. They have reassured me it will heal but approx 1 to 2 months. And no swimming for me :(
But that my surgeon should have never let it get this large he shou have done something sooner. Pain in my sternum is mostly gone. Still some pains but now I'm thinking it's from the bras. I think my shoulders are shot from wearing bras all the time.
You paid 796$ for the surgery ?
No it was free. Our medical paid for it due to referral from family doctor. But I had to pay 1200$ for the liposuction on the sides.
If you don’t mind what Medicaid do you carry ?

Not an infection...

So I seen my doctor 3 weeks post op. I was sure I had infection on left lower breast. Sore red and fluid and seen white stuff. Doctor reassured me not infection but due to large amount of ounces removed this is expected and I've been doing too much obviously where too much rubbing is st that area. Feeling happy that this is somewhat normal.

18 days post op.

Feeling good other then sick and tired wearing bras. So far I'm happy with results. I am still sore on sides and my nipples are super duper sensitive.

What do you think you went down to? I was bigger than you pre op, and in my opinion, feel I was made way too small...I amb3 months post op, and I gave felt this way from the start. You look very large breasted still...did you ask not to be made too small? I did and it did not turn out that way. I am trying to stay positive, but I am sad I have such small breasts. Most on here are upset they were left too large, lol...
When he asked me what size I wanted to be. I told him whatever he thought was best since I am overweight and I do wanna loose weight. He was upset I hadn't lost it first but I tried and tried and tired and too much pains for working out. I feel I am now a 40 DDD or 42 DD. Which is better then I was before. So far I am happy. :) And my incisions are so small.
