Submental liposuction

ORIGINAL POST

Submental liposuction

WORTH IT$2,700
I have had poor self esteem due to my jawline and double chin for as long as I can remember. I am 31 years old, 5’5 and about 138 lbs. Even at my smallest I was always full in my jawline. I tried kybella 2 times about a year and a half ago and I would never do that again. The downtime was horrific, I was so extremely swollen and got no results. I almost felt like I was worse after because it seemed like the swelling never went away. It was also very painful. I paid 2200 for that. Biggest waste of money ever. Anyways I decided to give it another go and have some consultations with some facial plastic surgeons. The first consult I Was pretty bummed as the doc suggested I needed a neck lift which was a little painful to hear as I am only 31. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti that but I was only there for a lipo consult. Anyways I decided to try another consult with a diff doc and he said he felt he could give me a nice feminine jawline with definition with liposuction. I went home and talked it over with my husband. I couldn’t decide what to do as I was afraid of having a saggy neck since the first guy said I needed the lift. Anyways I decided to go with doc number two. It is only 24 hours since my submental lipo and I can totally see a difference !!! I am so thrilled I could cry. He did tell me I will have swelling and it would be hard to tell right away. But if this is my result with being swollen, I am a happy camper!

Doctor Campbell was great. He was very thorough with his consult and answered all my questions and concerns. He was very realistic with me which I appreciate. I would rather know what to expect and have someone tell me the truth vs what I want to hear. The day of the treatment he was very straightforward and to the point. Which I also appreciate. He was light hearted and funny during the actual procedure. I would absolutely recommend him and wish I had done this years and years ago!

Looks like you had good results. Your story is similar to mine. I tried Kybella twice also about a year before I did chin liposuction. I spent $3400 on Kybella. It was a total joke. I wish i could sue that company. My liposuction was cheaper and great results. I also worried about saggy skin because I am a 46 year old male. That never happened. My results were terrific. Glad you are happy with your results!!!
I think it looks like a success! Keep letting us know how it’s going. I’ll be interested to see.
Your chin looks fantastic! Congrats on your decision! How long were you told to wear the chin strap? I’m 1 week post op chin lipo, told to wear the chin strap 24/7 for 2 weeks, remove only to shower. Then after 2 weeks, only wear for 12 hours for another 2 weeks. After blowing my money on temporary fixes like Kybella and Juvederm, I finally decided at 48-years-old to have this procedure done. But I’m afraid I waited too long. When I remove my chin strap to shower, I notice the skin is wrinkly. I know it’s too soon to see results so I’m trying not to panic. ):
Agree. Had 2 kybella treatments, looked like a bullfrog ended with zero results. I wish I saved my money and had lipo instead.
Same here. $1k down the drain. Getting my chino lipo by Christmas. Looks great!
