Hey guys , in April I started my skin lightening journey with glutathione and vitamin c IV . I started with twice a week 500mg of glutathione and 5k mg of vitamin c. My nurse increased my dosage with every treatment . Its now in June and I've had 19 treatments . And I'm at 2k mg of gluthione and 12kmg of vitamin c . I plan on doing it for 6 months ..so till October . Honestly I'm getting impatient , but I'm not at my desire complexion yet and I haven't seen significant results besides a bit of skin clearing . I understand it takes time but yea lol . I will be updating my progress from here on out . If you've done this , how long did it take you to see results ? And what was your dosage of vitamin c and glutathione ? ;

I just noticed your question when I logged on to ask a question myself...I think you need to be patient, I know you have, but it may only be a few more times before you see results. I have been on glutathione and vitamin c for about 10 days now—I’m a research junkie so upon learning that liposomal glutathione and liposomal vitamin c have the same absorption rate as the IV, I immediately ordered the liposomal type of both supplements along with taking Santeva brand glutathione. Other things I’m doing is using Kojic acid soap, and glutathione cream. I STAY covered from the sun if I have to go out in it and I wear a sunblock with iron oxide so I know it’s blocking the UV/UVB rays. What else are you doing?

Yes your so right ..the IV are so expensive . My 20 treatment was $2400

That’s a lot of money for you to not see results—try liposomal and look into the studies on the absorption rates compared to IV.

What else are you doing for lightening? Are you on the real self app? I’m not but let me try that and see if more of your message comes up

This information is so helpful dbbb2018, I know it’s early days, are you seeing any changes? How much of the liposomal glutathione and vit c are you having each day? Any particular times? And which brand of vit c? Thank you so much for sharing this information, really appreciate it.

Hey @Shazza23 Yeah—it hasn’t quite been two weeks yet, but interestingly, I’m not sure if it’s because I’m new to it it and my body is acclimating, but within the first 5 days I saw marked lightening and brightening of my skin, especially my face, neck, shoulders and chest.(I’ll attach pics later) this was all before I stared the liposomal gluta and vitamin c. Ok—so, I’m a research junkie and once I take something under my wing so to speak, I look into every area of it. For the past 3 weeks I have spent so much time online and talking to consultants and even a doctor from a liposomal supplement company. I also am a thorough reader of reviews on Amazon for products etc. So I noticed Just from googling info on skin lightening, many things popped up about the absorbency rates involved with pills versus IV versus liposomal etc. I religiously have been taking about 9000 mg of vitamin c and about 6000 mg of gluta per day. Vitamin C needs to be in a higher amount than the gluta—I’ve checked this in various forums, docs, etc. But the thing is—your body will only absorb so much vitamin c and the rest gets flushed out. Even still the amount should be higher than gluta to help it stay in the best form to get absorbed in the body. I have been taking Jarrows 500 mg reduced gluta and 1000 mg vitamin c by another company. I was taking the vitamin c mixed with water (I would open the tablets and stir it in the water) I would do the same with the gluta powder UNTIL I read info about supplements being better absorbed rectally. Soooooo I began mixing the powder from the gluta pills with as little water as possible. Then taking it up in a syringe from the mixing cup and then administered that rectally. In my opinion that did something with the absorbency for sure because I started to notice more brightness. (I know it’s early) but everyone is different) Based on my research, suppositories or rectal administered supplements reach the bloodstream quicker plus they bypass the stomach and intestines and doesn’t cause the supplements to lose power as much as simply swallowing them. (Since that time, I have concluded that using pure glutathione powder is better than using the powder that’s in pills because they have some fillers in it) Thennnnn I researched Santeva brand and ordered a few bottles of the Santeva Extreme. These pills have 500 mg vitamin c inside along with 1500 mg of gluta and it’s in oil form...I’ve been using those in the syringe rectally and also just opening it up and putting the fluid under my tongue (lots of absorption there too) Santeva has great ingredients, so I still use it that way. BUT with all that being said, and more research being done. I’m pretty convinced now that pills do little to nothing. Now—there are several YouTubers who clearly have been successful over time using just pills. But the liposomal is far superior as far a getting to your bloodstream quicker and more efficiently. They are protected against saliva, stomach acid, etc. They are pricey—I ordered my bottles from CoreMed Science...another company who is very thorough and professional is Skin Heaven. Basically IV gets it into your blood the fastest, yet liposomal is just as good, pills are like 10% in absorbency. So if you can’t do IV, liposomal is the next best thing.. This is how my routine looks: Kojic soap daily in the shower on my body and face. Vitamin C serum on my face daily Sunblock spf 50 or higher with iron oxide as the main ingredient About 6000 mg vitamin c in the morning and 3500-4000 mg of gluta. I repeat this for afternoon and evening. I use exfoliating gloves on my whole body every other day. I follow up with a gluta cream from gluta max—Just started using it a few days ago. I also ordered gloves (sun shield gloves) through Amazon to use while I’m driving etc. I stay covered and also use a sun shielding hat that covers my face and sides of my neck. I’m not about to let the sun mess with my results. You have to be that way. I’m looking forward to fall and winter. The sun is always out somewhat though and UV rays will darken your skin especially while using Kojic acid soap—skin is more sensitive. I know I wrote a book, I’m typing on my phone, excuse the typos. I hope this info helps you or anyone else!! What have you been doing?

I wish I knew about this a while ago smh, I've wasted so much money in just creams alone . But Along with my IV I take 800mg of liposomal glutathione in liquid form the days i dont get IVs, and emergent (1000mg) vitamin c . I use to take santeva before I started my IV, I only finished one bottle so I don't know if it was effective or not . I honestly need to be more aggressive ! I plan on purchasing pills from flawless icon , and taking 9 a day . Have you every heard of them ? And Your glutathione cream , what brand is it ?
June 18, 2018
This is so helpful. I had iv twice a week and was taking liposomal glutathione inbetween but after three months hadn’t noticed any lightening. I will try the brands you recommend. I will definitely up the gluta and vit c as I was doing about 2000mg a day of each. I will order a good amount. Do you think nac is also important? As for topically I am using the sans something Monica acid soap and vit c serum (I just changed to the Dennis gross one), and then cetaphil for moisture and sunblock spf 60. I also got some gloves as hands and feet and face so much darker than everywhere else. You can also get sun screen for your car window whilst you’re driving, I got mine from a local shop called Canadian Tire, it goes right over the window like a window condom (this has been one of the best things). Your book is so welcome! Thank you a bunch, I look forward to communicating with you!

June 18, 2018
Hey @shazza23 Cool on the window sunscreen thing!! I have heard about taking NAC and I’m going to research that next ha ha!! As far as the vitamin C goes—definitely increase. From what other gluta users and studies show, your vitamin c should be double what your gluta dose is per serving. So for instance, I take 3000 mg gluta in the morning so I take 5000-6000 mg vitamin C along with it. Yes, it’s cool to have people who are doing this as well. There’s a lot of info and this is an enlightening journey literally and figuratively lol :)

Hey @lady_monroe How much of the Liposomal gluta and vit c are you taking per day? Is it 800 mg and 1000 mg of vit c 3 or 4 times a day? I have heard of flawless icon—I actually sent them a message via IF several weeks and never heard back. The gluta cream is from glutamax. I just started this. I’m open to trying others if you know of and good ones with proven results.

Haha @shazza23 car sun blocker is a whole another level of determination ! I'm soooo looking into it ! And depending on your current complexion.. my research was that medium brown:1-3 months, dark brown skin: 3-6 months very dark skin: 6-12 months, black skin: at least 2 years. I'm really in the same boat ... I would say I'm dark brown so I'm doing it for six months! And then maintain when I reach my desire goal .I've read so many ariticles and videos ,and gluta orally absorption rate is low ! NAC is a glutathione booster ,I'm going to purchase some . And also whey protein too .

Hey , yes. I take it 5 days weekly 3 times. The only gluta cream I've tried was gluta c , it made me itchy so I stop . Question , how do you feel when your getting your gluthatione IV , do you feel the coldness in your arm ? Because gluta is kept cold . Just asking because I'm not sure if I'm the only person that feels this way .

thank you, this help a lot . once again .. thank you

Good morning Shazaa23. Have you gotten any updates on your skin brightening journey.
June 17, 2018
1st of all, no clinical evidence that glutathione lighten skin but people have reported their skin lightening which is the side effects of glutathione. Try 600mg alphalipoic acid, 3gm glutathione and 3gm Vit C weekly. Also if you drink alcohol stop and also avoid shell fish. Then don't forget to use UV protection with spectrum UVA & UVB.

It lightens the skin—there are tons of studies about glutathione and vitamin C—skin lightening is big business. Your above recommendation is not enough vitamin c or gluta to see results (you said per week)
June 19, 2018
Hi guys, great read and information above. I've just started using organic skin lightening pills from a company called organic skin lightening. I was a bit worried about the dossage they recommended. A total of 3000mg of gluta and 2000mg of vitamin c. I hope it's not a scam since the vitamin c should be more than the gluta.
User Avatar
June 19, 2018
Hi, that’s interesting that a company is advising that you take more gluta than vit c. Did you question them about that? All the companies and doctors I’ve spoken to say the opposite. More vitamin C—the thing is...our bodies will naturally get rid of an excess of vit c, so there’s no worry about ingesting too much. You’ll pee it out. But Liposomal vit c you will retain more. Just be careful who you order from. Some trusted places I like are Santeva and some of the pharmaceutical companies through Amazon. Gluta should be taken according to your weight (ask them about that)
User Avatar
June 19, 2018
Yes your right . Vitamin c need to be more than gluta. I've seen it around but I haven't heard anything about it . Since you are going the pill route , you should take this 3 tims a day at least . I recommend you open both capsule and put in water and drink it .

Hi I bought osl pills in April this year and I have the bottles I can upload for proof I didn’t see a significant change at all they say take 3 pills of each bottle day & night which I did up until last week. I did the glutathione test on the pills with iodine and it failed when I messaged osl on instagram and provided them with proof of video with the iodine test. Their reply was ridiculous they then deleted & blocked me. If anyone wants to see the test I might upload on YouTube or reply with your email.
June 21, 2018
Another thing which is strange there is no FDA approval but yet a celebrity dermatologist created the pills which is unknown who they are, Black Chyna is basically the face of the brand. Any customer that has spoken up about not seeing results after months they quickly delete comments & block. If a company has nothing to hide they would not do that. Most of all there pills fails the iodine test, open the pills it smells like fish & the representative said it’s because the collagen is fish, but it’s a well known fact your not really supposed to have fish whilst taking glutathione
User Avatar
June 21, 2018
That company seems very sketchy! I'm pretty sure black chyna never even used it . It just for promotion . None of the glutha supplements have taken smell like that . Maybe try flawless icon ,beshiny L and , santeva
July 1, 2018
now we know not to buy from them . thank you.
June 19, 2018
Yeah @lady_monroe I found that I was in the car driving to work an hour each way, and no matter how much sun block you on you will still tan, it doesn’t block the tanning aspect, so it was counter productive doing everything and then having that amount of sun hitting me from the side, it’s helped so much.

My gluta iv wasn’t cold, now I wonder the legitimacy of it. Is the Santeva brand of gluta pills legitimate? I was looking into the core science also @dbbb2018 I will definitely double on the vit c from today :-)

Yes girls I read a few places that nac is great for gluta absorption, I will look into it this evening to get more info and see which brands are good
User Avatar
June 19, 2018
@shazza , make sure that your glutathione is cold !! It must be kept cold otherwise is toxic ! @dbb2018 and @shazza what's your goal shade? I'm about to upload a picture of mines :)
June 19, 2018
I stopped with the gluta @lady_monroe it was too expensive for me and I didn’t trust that the quality was good as there was no change, and if it was supposed to be cold it definitely wasn’t, if I noticed a tiny amount of change I would have kept on. My game plan now is to be consistent with the gluta pills and vit c. I am an Oprah shade currently but want to be more of a Beyoncé shade, Oprah looks great, just this shade doesn’t look great on me! I will upload pictures also. I hope we all get to the goal shade we want! You all seem like a great bunch of girls, would be nice for this to be successful :-)

@shazza23 where did you purchase your car sun blocker from ?
June 21, 2018
I got it from a place called Canadian Tire, are you from Canada?
User Avatar
June 23, 2018
Hey you guys—sorry I’ve been MIA but I’ve been on my researching stint again!!

Ok—so I went out and purchased some 600 mg NAC in addition to what I’m already doing: high doses of vitamin C, Liposomal glutathione, Santeva, Kojic acid soap, exfoliating, using an iron oxide sunblock, covering up, and so forth.

I did some pretty heavy research on NAC and it seems to be KEY in raising glutathione levels in the blood.

The more and more research I do, I am now even more convinced that unless you’re taking Liposomal gluta, or IV gluta and high doses of vitamin c, you’re results will be very slow.

Liposomal gluta is about the same absorbency as IV gluta. Get this!! Vitamin C must be double what you’re taking in mg of gluta—so if you’re taking 1500 mg of gluta 3 times a day which is badicallly the dose or higher that you need to try and achieve therapeutic results based on skin lightening—it means that you should take upwards from 3000 or more vitamin c 3 times a day as well.

So for instance, I’m taking about 1500 mg of gluta morning, noon, and night, sometimes a little more, so on average I’m taking about 6000 mg per day. This means I’m also taking about 9,000- 12,000 mg of vitamin C total per day.

Now—here’s the thing. If my body cannot take that much vitamin c, I’ll simoly pee it out. Now that it’s been 2 days on the NAC, and I’ve been doing only 2 pills per day....it causes some nausea and today upon taking it on an empty stomach with my vitamin C and the Liposomal gluta, I had horrible stomach pain and the runs. I’m not sure if it was the NAC alone, because I’m also on my menstrual cycle, but in reading about NAC, it does cause these sysnotoms. I may only take one dose per day. It’s very well absorbed based on the research I did. Taking more than needed can cause serious side effects.

The rub is, NAC, is the precursor to creating more gluta in the body. So I will continue to take it.

If you’re just popping gluta pills it’s going to quickly deteriorate in your stomach giving about a 10% absorbency Rate. Try Liposomal products, or put the gluta powder under your tongue, or try using gluta powder in a enema. The under the tongue, and the rectal area absorb the most when it comes to nutrients because of the abundance of blood vessels.

Just so you know, I thought it was very interesting that there were two days that I went without my Liposomal gluta and within that time I noticed my skin kind of lost the luster (yellow tone) I had while on it. As soon as I started it back Thursday—today (Saturday) that glow is back. Maybe I’m imagining things, but I don’t think so.

One of the biggest things that you can do to make sure you’re getting authentic results is stay your ass out of the sun!!! Seriously, slather an iron oxide sunblock on your skin that is close to your complexion. I’ll show you mine, and cover up your body on top of that—seriously. Wear a sun hat to keep rays from reaching your face and neck. Especially if you’re using Kojic acid soap—your skin will quickly get red and irritated and burn with even minutes of sun exposure.

You have to have thick skin meaning do not care what people say!! I live in extreme heat, I am covered from head to toe because I’m not about to be taking all of these supplements and exfoliating just to have a few minutes of sun exposure ruin my results. If you do this you’ll know your results are coming from what you’re doing, if you keep exposing your skin to the sun, alll the things you’re doing are pointless.

I’m looking to see where to attach pics so I can show you the products I use, but I don’t see it.

Sorry. I tried for six months too with no progress
September 16, 2018
You should've continued for a year before giving up. Were you using a reputable clinic with genuine glutathione? How dark are you? Probably that dose was too small for you. What was your diet like? I hope you were not eating any sea food such as fish , drinking alcohol or smoking, staying in the sun even for 5 mins can be a great hinderance to achieving the best results - these are some of the issues that will inhibit the progress of glutathione results. I had glutathione for 5 months without any changes & this was because I was doing the wrong things such drinking alcohol, eating fish, walking in the sun without the sun protection. And now, I have only used it for just 3 months and I am 3 shades lighter. If you really want to have some drastic results with even skin, try the laser skin lightening - Very pricey but soooòo worthy it. You can achieve 5 shades lighter within 3 months. And also, laser skin lightening is more permanent than glutathione. Hope that helps. Good luck. xxMxx
