As a doctor and researcher in a different field of medicine, new to the Martin County/Palm Beach County area, choosing an office in which to seek care was especially challenging. Initially, we knew to search for a board-certified plastic surgeon. Physicians must have licenses to practice in Florida, but some may choose to go above and beyond this licensing. They may choose to become board-certified. Board certification requires additional cases, oral and written examinations, and continued education throughout their entire careers. In essence, board certification indicates that the physician is at the top of his/her field. In medicine, this is the highest objective measure of excellence. After we researched board-certified plastic surgeons, we narrowed it down to Dr. Lipschitz and a very few others. Next, we specifically looked for patient reviews. The majority of reviews were very positive, but a few were not. In our own field, we understand that one cannot please all people, all of the time. As patients we are unique, and personalities differ - just like our physicians. Sometimes it is simply not a good fit. At that point, we scheduled a consultation to evaluate for ourselves. We are critical; we also have a medical practice - we know what is acceptable and what is not. From the initial phone call, through the confirmation and to the actual appointment, Dr. Lipschitz's Plastic Surgery practice surpassed our expectations. The front desk staff could not have been more welcoming, each and every person we encountered at the office was friendly, kind and professional. The patients in the waiting room had extremely positive information to share about the office most of which were long time patients of record. Other patients within a medical office are invaluable resources to new patients. We were efficiently attended to, treated, and received no surprises when payment was requested. We were thrilled. Please forgive me, all surgeons who may be reading this, but surgeons are not typically known for their personalities - we choose them because they are superior at performing surgery. It was wonderful to find that Dr. Lipschitz, in addition to being so highly qualified, and of course, board-certified, was extremely compassionate and truly a very nice person. He has a rare humility, normally not observed in someone of his caliber. In summary, we will be recommending Dr. Lipschitz and this office to our own patients which is our highest possible compliment.
