  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Day 7

Still hard to breathe fully and swollen but I’m hopeful

“Structured” rhinoplasty in Saigon, Vietnam

Here I am again going through another surgery, and writing a review for all those who are curious about it. Please note that I am not a blogger, therefore, I won’t be putting everything in details nor remember many things to write, so, without further explaining, please politely ask what you’re curious about and I will answer you if the question is not asked and answered already.
When I got my surgery: yesterday, 24th May 2018
Where: Vivian Beauty spa and hospital, Saigon city, Vietnam.
Who: one of the doctor who works there, they all got trained and work together, please don’t ask who because I don’t know, all results look different on people, ya know?
What is “structured” rhinoplasty? It’s more complex than the usual one in asia, the basic one is just to heighten because most Asian people do have a short nose bridge. But I think what I got is similar to those in America because I got my nose bridge heighten and smaller tip and thinner nose shape.
Pain level: 2/10, first I was put under semi sleeping anesthesia, then local anesthesia, I could feel the needles injected in my nose but I didn’t feel the pain, for example. Therefore the pain the hurt much, on a scale of one to 10— id day 2 for during surgery & that includes when they sew my up. Which was my most impatient time, I keep asking them if they’re done yet, that time I was awake already and was excited to see. I saw my results right away. Walked out. Go change & got my meds and head out.
How long: 1.5-2 Hours
Right after: I wanted to sleep, I had two cotton balls in my nose so guess what? Ya girl sleeps with her mouth open and I was parched as heck. Drinking water hurts.
Next day: early morning, I took a motorbike and drove to my clinic to have the cotton balls removed and had the nurse hygienes my nose. Whoooo i can breathe. After that I was walking around, drinking tea, eating and shopping. People didn’t care, what I look like LOL. It’s pretty acceptable here unlike where I live you know... which by the way, is plastic surgery acceptable where you live? Tell me!
Tomorrow, 26th: no plans from the doc accept to hygiene the nose myself.
Then the 27th, come back to remove the thread from the incision by my ears.
7 days later: come back to remove my nose casting.
Attached are some pics.
Ps* always do your own research for your fave nose shape on Pinterest or google, then consult with your doc.
As for me, I wanted a straight nose with a smaller nose and even nose tip bc I don’t like those that are too long.
Another thing: after surgery I was given a list of what not to eat to prevent bruising, heavy scaring, darkening of incision sites & food that are toxic post surgery. Funny thing, I don’t eat any of those so I don’t have heavy bruising. So having a good healthy diet helps a lot you guys
