After 20 years and four children, I finally decided to research tummy tucks. I chose Dr. Mark Epstein for many reasons. However, what initially caught my attention is that he doesn't use drains in doing tummy tucks. He was the only doctor who offered this option. I met with him and was extremely impressed with his caring, sincerity, and professionalism. These same qualities are also exhibited by his staff. It's been five weeks since my tummy tuck. (No drains) I had the procedure on a Tuesday and was back at work the following Monday. My surgery was about five weeks ago. I haven’t regretted my decision one bit. I can’t even think of one thing Dr. Epstein could have done to improve my experience. More importantly, Dr. Epstein and his staff have still continued to monitor my care. I truly hope in sharing this with you that you too have a positive experience. I highly recommend Dr. Mark Epstein to help you on this journey. I understand the decision in making the choice to have a tummy tuck is not an easy one. However, if you do choose to make this journey, I hope you consider Dr. Mark Epstein. He and his staff have helped me achieve a goal I never thought possible.

I'm going for a tummy tuck with Dr. Epstein too! I was so excited that he does no drains. I'm just wondering how was your recovering with no drains? He said when he doesn't use drains patients are up walking the next morning. Did you have much pain? Glad to hear your recovering nicely. Enjoy your new tummy!!
You'll be surprised at how well you recover. I expected much discomfort. The next morning when he came to check on me I was up and walking around. I had my surgery on a Tuesday and only took the pain medicine for two nights. On Saturday I removed the tubes (for the pain pack). Even then, I was surprised at how easily they came out. I took them out myself and thought I'd be queasy. I didn't even feel them coming out. Dr. Epstein has monitored me since, and I can't tell you how pleased I am. The only thing I would recommend is this: I had surgery on Tuesday and went back to work on Monday. Although I was able to do it, I wish I had taken a couple of more days. I wish you much luck. You'll be so excited with the results. Enjoy. Dr. Epstein and his staff is wonderful.
