Dear Ladies, I only had my lift with augmentation...

Dear Ladies,
I only had my lift with augmentation procedure done on Wednesday June 8th. I have only had to take ibuprofen 800mg for discomfort, and I only took that twice. I did take a four day window of time to rest, and pamper myself, as I feel it was the best for me not to over push myself, even if I felt I could. Today, Saturday morning I woke up refreshed and eager to start my day. I mostly feel sore under my armpit muscles like I lifted weights and my muscles are sore. I also have a tiny bit of discomfort in my sternum area, but nothing not tolerable. I have complete sensation in my nipples, no irritation, and each day the implants settle a bit more. I have done my post op instructions to the T and 5 times per day I do 5 reps of over the head exercises, like a slow jumping jack motion. I am absolutely thrilled!
I am 48 years old, I waited until after children and breast feeding to do this. I am of petite build 5'4 and 105lbs. I had 240 cc round silicone implants placed along with my lift under the muscle. For me this will likely give a small C cup ( I was a small A cup) when all is settled in 6 months or so. I allowed my doctor to do all the measurements, and proceed with what was right for me. Dr. Mark Epstein is knowledgable, compassionate, and nothing less than gifted and talented at what he does. I researched him a very long time, his staff is as wonderful as he is, and Kristi, was so kind and caring. Ladies, ladies, ladies, he is worth every penny!! No matter where you live, this doctor is worth it!!!
Thanks to all for this site.

Hi ladies,
So one week post op. Doing well, very happy, and feeling good. Next week going back to my doctor for steri tape removal and hopefully the purple marker will wash away better then. Did post a couple pics to help this review.

What size did you get? You look great!

I got 240 cc. I am petite 5'4 and 105lbs. I really do love them. I am perfect for my figure, and they look very natural for me. I did not want to look like the girl who got Hugh breast implants. I wanted to look pretty and properly suited for my body. After Thursday, the steri strips will be taken all off. I will post a 3 week pic then. Very happy.

Maybe the proper term is dermabond. They are very small strips that as I shower etc. are slowly coming off as well all the purple marker. I see My surgeon Thursday. At that time it is my understanding what remains will be removed by him. I had no large bandages, drains etc. easy recovery for the most part.

Oh ok lol. Just asking Bc I recently used him and he used Dermabond. But I had a horrible reaction to it. So I was curious when you said steri strips if i could have had another option.

I read in the book that was provided one place said derma bond another place steri strips. I guess ine in the same. We're you happy with your results. So far I really am. 3 weeks post op.

Okay I understand you. I hope you won't mind my asking since my surgery is so recent, how long ago was your surgery? Did you follow up with the laser for scarring? I am doing that. I am excited to go this week as the remaining derma bond is itching but like in a healing way. Will just be happy to get that off. Since I had a lift I could not do the 15 minutes of lying in my stomach before bed. They are adjusting and softening each day. I do love shopping for clothing and filling out my clothes with NO bra!

A little of 2 months ago. I am not doing the laser Bc you can't see my scars Bc they are literally under my fold. You can't see it unless I'm naked and and lift my arms. The Dermabond gave me such an allergic reaction which was a set back. So so itchy and it spread. Not fun! I feel good now just still have some numb spots

Hi! Just need some advise since I read you went through something like this: I was 4 weeks post op yesterday. On Monday July 4th I began to notice something under my breasts that resembled a diaper rash. Red raised numbs that began to itch like no itching I could ever describe! I noticed by Tuesday morning it began to spread up my breast a bit around the lift area incisions also. I immediately phoned Dr. Epstein's office. I like you used hydro cortisone cream. It did nothing much to help me. Today they called in a prescription for me. I used it so far once tonight. I am practically crawling out of my skin because the itch discomfort is almost like pain. HOW long until you saw improvement when this happened to you! I cannot wait for it to go away and this is really the only issue I have had so far. Also my left breast is a bit funky looking still sort of weird shaped. I know everything takes time to settle and work itself in. I am getting laser for scarring on this upcoming Tuesday. I had a lift as well so I really want as little scarring as possible. Do you feel according to your situation I can hope this rash is gone by then!? Thanks so much! The price we women go through for beauty!!

Wow you look great!! I just booked with Dr. Epstein to have a reduction (only on my right breast due to size difference) and implants! I'm very nervous but I keep hearing that the recovery isn't that bad. I wonder why he isn't doing my surgery all at once? He told me he has to do the reduction first then 4 months later the implants. How was the pain?
June 27, 2016
Actually my pain was not that bad. The first 48 hours was the worst, with 800 mgibuprofen it was more just discomfort. He is really awesome, not sure why he wants your procedures 4 months apart but he must have a good reason. He is so awesome you can totally trust his judgement. After Thursday I will ad a few new pics. 3 weeks post op this week. Very very happy.

That's good to hear about the recovery! I love that you don't need to take heavy drugs for the pain! Definitely will check out your new photos.

My rash started at the incision lines and then just kept growing down my ribs cage. I had hives on my face Horrible horrible itching and my skin was inflammed. Felt like a yeast infection on my skin. The perscription they gave me didn't work. I had to go to a dermatologist. It lasted a week. But took about another week for the redness to go away. I wouldn't do laser if it's still there. It's not common what happened to me but it happens
Congratulations, you sound thrilled with your results! I hope you'll continue to keep this community posted on your progress. Thanks for sharing your story.
Good for you. I agree with you about taking it easy when possible. Happy healing!
