Getting a tummy tuck- almost circumferential, liposuction, fat transfer to tear trough and bottom. I was initially scheduled to have this procedure April of 2014 but 2 weeks prior to the date I had a hypertensive crisis. My blood pressure was reading 270/180. Crazy. I survived this and a tumor was found on my adrenal gland. It was the probable cause. I had it removed instead of my tummy tuck. My blood pressure is way way better now. I only take one pill now and will be stopping that soon too. Fast forward to now. Finally getting it done. Woohoo!!!!!

Yay!! How exciting! I am 10 days PO. I am so excited for you! So sorry about your health issues. We know about that all too well. So glad that you are healthy now and ready to get your long awaited surgeries!

You don't have long to wait! Are you excited? What have you gotten ready for after surgery? I would recommend the walker, toilet seat riser, shower chair, and LOTS of pillows! :)

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! Can't wait to see your update after surgery and your after photos!

Thank you very much. I have a walker, shower chair, recliner and pillows. Don't have a toilet riser. Do you really think it's helpful? I'm very happy for you as well. Exciting and scary at the same time

The toilet seat riser is very helpful to me, even now. The master bathroom is in the middle of getting remodeled, so the original toilet is still in there. It is low to the ground, so trying to get low and up again is too much. {I am short}. When I first came home, I could only stand to use the potty and had a hard time spreading my legs. {I would highly say DON'T get a female urinal as it is too hard to hit}. So..the toilet seat riser saved the day. {For me}. You may not need it. If you don't, you could always take it back. Everyone is different though and a lot of people said they didn't use their walkers. I, personally, am still having to use mine. So, it kind of depends on what all you are getting done, how easy you think it will be for you to get up and down from the toilet. You won't be able to use your tummy muscles and could be in a lot of pain. {Lots of pain, If you aren't having a pain pump or the pain injections put in during surgery}.
The walker, shower chair, recliner, pillows, and toilet seat riser have truly helped me so much. I'm still using ALL of them and I am 12 Days Post Op. I had a lot done though.. full tummy tuck, a huge muscle repair, and a hernia repair. So, it could be that I just had more stuff done and that is what caused the pain where I need all of this stuff. I do think everything I have mentioned though has been super useful and I am still using all of those items.

I can understand the being excited and scared at the same time. I was like that also. I also went into panic mode and almost cancelled the surgery because I thought it wouldn't work. I went to talk to my PS who reassured me and explained in detail what he would be taking, etc. That helped a lot too. lol

Will you be staying a night or two in the hospital or surgery center? Or are you coming home the same day?
