3 months post op

I’m happy to say that my implants and tummy tuck incisions just keep improving! I still wouldn’t say that I am back to 100% functional. I see Dr. Scheisel next week and I hope she is also happy with my results. I have not seen her in 6 weeks.
My left breast finally dropped and both implants are significantly softer and more natural feeling. I’m loving my new boobs more and more each day! If Dr. Scheisel agrees that things are looking more normal, I’m hoping she will take me off the medication that she prescribed to help prevent a capsular contracture in the left implant. It’s crazy to look t how much they’ve changed since surgery day.
My tummy still swells occasionally, but nothing like it did before. My incision is still red but it getting smoother and softer to the touch. I’m still dealing with nerve issues in my right thigh. It hurt like hell right at first, then was numb for weeks, and now seems to be coming back to life. It aches and tingles when touched. Honestly the leg pain has been the absolute worst part of this whole procedure, believe it or not.
Overall I am thrilled with my Mommy Makeover and for the first time in many years I am happy to go shopping for clothes!

Good news/Bad news

I had my 6 week follow up yesterday.
The good news:
1. My tummy tuck looks great. No dog ears and the incision is healing well. No indication of fluid and the swelling I’m experiencing is normal.
2. I have been released of all exercise restrictions. YAY!!! I can also wean myself off of this God forsaken compression binder!!
3. My right breast is settling nicely and I will continue to massage it daily.
I’m feeling more and more back to “normal” everyday. So this is all good!
The bad news:
1. My left breast is not dropping like it should. I thought it was just not settling as fast as the other breast, but Dr. Scheisel thinks it’s more than that. Looking like capsular contracture. ???? She taught me a more aggressive form of massage and prescribed meds for inflammation and possible infection. I’m pretty bummed about this because I was starting to become rather pleased with how the right implant was settling out and I REALLY want this left one to do the same.

3 weeks post op

I just returned from my 3 week post op appointment with Dr. Scheisel. All good news! She taught me how to massage my implants as they are still riding high on my chest. She cleared me to do light cardio at the gym, but no weights yet. I am also allowed to sleep in any position, and I don’t have to wear a sports bra to sleep anymore either.
As far as my tummy, my incisions and belly button look great and she started me on the scar treatment cream. I did NOT have to have any more fluid drained (Thank God!) but I am very swollen by mid afternoon everyday. I have to wear the cotton binder as tight as possible for 3 more weeks.
I was glad to have some good news and encouraging words from the PS because I have been really down the last week or so and feeling like I didn’t look good or and I’m so swollen that none of my clothes fit, etc.
