I had eyelid surgery done on March 2, 2017
I decided to do it because for so many years I've been thinking about it, but was too afraid to go forward to do it but I finally I did
I've had to look in the mirror and realize that it is me looking back I'm so used to seeing someone with very droopy eyelids now I actually have eyelids!
It's five weeks later I do see a big difference however, I am dealing with tightness that extends between my eyelids and my eyebrows like when you stretch your eyes when you're surprised it's so tight
I'm hoping that this is going to go away soon. Has anybody ever had tightness following their upper eyelid surgery and if so can you please tell me how long did it take before it went away? ( if it did, I sure hope so! )
Thanks!!

Hi Shelly, I had upper eyelid surgery recently (Feb 17) too. I did not experience much tightness but one lid would not close all the way for a bit. I would think if your lids are tight and you can't close one or both all the way, then it's something to look into. From what I have read this is common and it's not been that long. Hopefully everything else is good!

Thank you SpecialK, I appreciate your feedback, I will be seeing my doctor later this week and I'm hoping that he can help me with this.

Hi Shelly, so what did you find out about the tightness? I had lots of swelling, but not tightness like you describe. Best wishes for speedy healing !

He told me that at six weeks tightness is usually very normal in fact between six and eight weeks it's at their tightest he says.
I have scar tissue that takes time and it will eventually subside. Not sure I like that answer but what else can I do

Hi Shelly. Thanks for sharing your experience.
How are you feeeling now about the tightness?
I'm almost 6 weeks post op (April 27) and I'm having tightness as well. Looking up is weird as I feel the lid is tight and my eyeball can't move. Weird.
Also dry eyes, sensitive to the sun and wind.
What about your symptoms?
You look lovely and hope you are healing well.

It's been a little over three months and I must say the tightness has definitely subsided!

Hi!
I'm almost 8 weeks post op and have tightness looking up!
It is scary!
How are your tightness now?
June 13, 2017
The tightness is so much better I definitely still feel it when I look up
But it definitely is not as intense as it was...
for a while there I was freaking out!!!
I kept telling myself oh my god is this the way it's going to feel forever and I questioned why I did this!
But hang in there because it does get better I promise any questions feel free to hit me up
June 13, 2017
Yeah! The freaking out part is completely true! Omg!
Some days I was do depressing because of that! Why on earth would I do that to myself?
But i'm trying to be patient and keeping positive thoughts in my mind otherwise I'll regret forever.
Thanks for sharing and answering!

Per a website "satispharma.net" they have a Bruise Fadeaway roll-on product that reduces the bruising in half the time. It costs $14.90 & shipping is free. I haven't tried it, but plan to after I get my upper eyelid surgery done in November. If anyone does try this Product please let me know if it works. Thanks.
