Pictures of my eyes

I will post pictures as soon as the doctor takes them. We did not take picture last week because I still have a little swelling in my jaw area from the light lower lift he did at the same time he did my eyes.

I found Dr. Kass through thorough my research for an eye surgeon with plastic surgery accreditation. I was looking for a surgeon who could correct a previous lower eye job I had a year before that I was not happy with.

I met with Dr. Kass three times before I finally made-up my mind to have the procedure once again. Dr. Kass did not hurry my decision and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire extensive question and answer time we had. The ultimate decision was to have my lower lids redone and also have a lower jaw lift.

Dr. Kass prefers to use knock-out twilight pills rather than anesthesia. This is a practice that is gaining momentum with several plastic surgeons I interviewed. This was good and bad for me - good in that you are not sick or have to pay additional for another doctor to be in surgery, bad because I get very loopy on most drugs ( and I did on these - my neighbor came to get me for the ride to the surgery and I answered the door butt-naked! She finally told me a week later!). But I remember nothing about the surgery and I slept for many hours afterward.

Eye surgery is not painful. But you are bruised and I bruise easier and for a lengthier time than most. I knew that going into the procedure. The lower face lift to my jaw was a little painful and my scars are still healing but I am pleased with the results. I always say if there are going to be complications it will happen to me. My stitches did hurt behind my ears and three months after my surgery I have some itching there every couple of days. That has been the only negative about this procedure (and my loopyness!)

Dr. Kass's office is not one with the latest decorating scheme. His staff are not all twenty somethings who looked like they work-out every day. This is an office of dedicated working people who are there to help you feel better about yourself. Not everyone wants surgery to look younger, but I did as I am in the public eye.

Friends are telling me my eyes have never looked better. People I have not seen in years are telling me I look great and what am I doing to look so great? My confidence level has risen. Now I need to lose those 20 pounds that came on mysteriously in the past decade!

The total dollar amount I put here does not include both procedures I had. This site would not let me put both procedures so I only put the eye surgery as that was the most important to me and the one that needed correcting. Dr. Kass prices are in-line with what other surgeons charge for these procedures.

Dr. Kass met with me three times before I made up my mind. He and his staff never pushed or pressured me as two other doctors offices did (oh, we only have one opening two weeks from now as the doctor is booked solid thru 2014). He answered all my questions and I question a great deal. He also has a sense of humor but is professional. I only wish I had found him the year before and had not used the previous surgeon.
