30 Days PO tummy tuck

WORTH IT$9,149
Welp had/have a little issue with my BB. Doc believes it to be a reaction to an internal stitch, bit idk. He tried busting it my last appt. which it isnt as big as before. I go back tues, so we'll see. Im on antibiotics though. Other than that everything is going as is i suppose. I dont have any pain or an odor in my bb so thats a relief I guess. But ill have to be patient an see what happens with this All! Happy patient healing for me, lol!

You look great!!! Happy healing!! :-)
Thank u! Im just anxious for my final outcome, bc im not flat like i was directly after surgery :/
You should ask your doctor if you can take arnica Montana for the swelling. :-)
Thank u i sure will ask abt that!
You look great! And I really don't see much swelling at all. You look flat! I still have swell, especially in the center, under the belly button area, but its not as bad.
Thank u! But trust me it's definitely swollen and gets worse towards the end of the day! Those pics were a few hours after id got up. But compared to how FLAT I was after surgery, thats how i know im swollen. But i actually think we look a little similar, esp above BB it still feels an looks the same to me most times... My upper abdomen that is.
I totally know what you mean. I worry that I wont ever be as flat as I was right after surgery! But, I know I'm swollen and the potential is there. Do your incisions feel lumpy or ropey underneath the skin? Mine do, but especially under the center incision area, where the old belly button was. I'm thinking when this scar tissue or dissolvable stitches break down we will feel flatter.
Mainly towards each ends feel a lil rough but the rest is ok i guess. I actually still wear the little tape, iv only changed them to fresh ones once since surgery. Since my BB issue, i dont wanna have another scare, so i totally do not bother the incision!!!
Yes, good idea. I had an issue with my incision as well. Interesting...
I will def look n2 that an ask him thank u!
Hey, just checking in on your progress. I hope things are well.

Tummy tuck Healing journey

Soooo im 14days PO and still have 1 drain in. This SUCKS! I guess it is what it is, my body does what it needs is what i tell myself. But i think i maybe waiting to long to empty the drain. I usually only empty them twice a day, once at night and once in the day. Itll be bedtime and i wont feel like getting up to empty, so ill just let it carry over to the next morning the. Ill empty it. It seems tho as if it drains more while i sleep thru the night. Because all day hardly any drainage but when go to sleep at night, late at night at that, but i wake up and theres drainage. I think i may not be draining at the proper times. Because like i said, my night drainage i let carry over till the next day, maybe i shouldnt do that? Any tips realself members? PLEASE? Because i am so OVER this 1 little drain!

I also only emptied twice a day, or as needed. But let me tell you...you are at the two week mark, which is when "swell hell" starts up. Because you still have a drain in you may avoid it (until your drains are removed). So, at least there's a silver lining, having that drain in still. I feel for you though!
Oh SWELL HELL had already began!!!! Huhhhhhh
HAS already began.... I ran errands yesterday, was out abt 6 hours, came home took off garment and there was Swell hell! Omg!
Ugh.
I hope he can get that drain out real soon. I felt so much relief when mine were out. I had four of them!!
Thank u & Ikr gonna give my drainage report 2morrow, so hopefully it can come out friday**fingers crossed**& wow 4 drains! I know tht had 2 be a hassle! Well lucky u 4 not going over a week with em!
You need to keep the drain in suction to work. If hou don’t empty it will loose suction and will not drain the fluid that is in the tissue. tissiy.

How have you been doing? I usually think when someone's posts slow down they are feeling better. I hope you are!
Hi! You're right lol, actually i have been feeling wayyy much better! I got 1 drain out, the right side thurs 7/9/15. Hopefully this left side will be coming out tues 7/14/15! But i havent had a pain med since the 4th. My back aggravates me sometimes tho and the swelling is OMG, but i know its a process so im trying to be patient :) how about you, any swelling and are you satisfied so far?
Wow, you are doing well, no pain meds, that's great!
Yes, the swelling is something else! My lower tummy, which started out perfectly flat after the surgery, now is so swollen (right above incision) that I have that lip/overhang of skin again!!! No where near as bad as before, but it looks all too familiar. I know its only temporary though.
I had two little openings and tiny amount of bleeding at the incision where my old belly button used to be. Doc said this is fairly common. If it's going to happen, it would be in that area. This happened at 2 1/2 weeks. So, I've been putting Polysporin and gauze on it at least twice a day, at his recommendation. I got the go ahead to start scar treatment.
Glad you're doing well!
Thank u & Whew this is such a journey for us isnt it! Well besides that, sounds like you're healthy & results are still better than before, thats always a relief, thats what i keep in mind when i start to feel dissatisfied, along with "i cant wait till 1 yr from now lol......BUT MOSTLY LOOKS WAY BETTER THAN BEFORE!
