Just got home from having my upper & lower abs and bra fat done. I had a lot of anxiety before hand as I am quite afraid of needles and those sorts of things but took some Xanax beforehand which helped. Surgery went ok. My doctor said he had to be fairly aggressive since I had coolsculpting previously. He said it was like going through a brick in those areas, which makes me a bit nervous in terms of my recovery since I have a little one. I’m home now and just took a pain pill and plan to nap for a few hours. My belly is pretty swollen and I’m leaking fluid everywhere but that’s to be expected. I’ll post more pics later tonight.

How are you feeling? Do you know if you had tumescent liposuction?
April 23, 2018
Yes, I had Tumescent Lipo under local anesthesia. I feel sore but okay and am able to move around the house and do light activity. Morning time is the hardest part of the day since I’m already stiff from laying in bed. But it gets better throughout the day.

I have those exact same creases in my back. I recently had a tummy tuck and lipo on my flanks but I still have those deep creases. I'd love to see how your bra line turns out as I'm considering having more lipo done in that area to smooth it out.

They are so pesky! I’m 5’2” and 140 lbs so no skeleton but not obese either. I feel like they were out of place on my body...

I know the feeling! So my surgeon doesn't think that lipo would really fix it. He thinks that only cutting out the creases would really work, leaving a big scar and he doesn't really want to do that nor do I. Do you feel the lipo helped? I wouldn't care if they were still there a little but just not so deep.

Yes, it definitely helped. They are still there but less deep. I’ll try to take a pic so you can see.

Hi there! I am going in for lipo on my back creases in a couple of months and was wondering how yours turned out. Did it help?
April 8, 2019
I wish I could say it made enough of a difference to justify surgery but unfortunately the creases are still prominent. Maybe it’s just my body. Have you had your procedure yet?

I'm having the lipo procedure on my back next week on April 16th. My surgeon warned me they may not go away completely but should hopefully get some good results. Another surgeon told me I needed a back lift instead but not sure I want to go that route. Decided to try the more conservative lipo route instead. Fingers crossed!

This was my first time taking off the garment. Removing the dressings and tape was a little nerve wrecking but I survived. Used some peroxide to wash off the marker then showered and put my garment back on.

This photo was taken exactly 1 year to the day post surgery. Honestly, I’m disappointed by the results. I feel like my love handles are now more accentuated even though I’m more active now then I was prior to surgery. Not sure if I see any improvement in my back creases. I’ve considered having a revision but I just remember the procedure itself being so painful. The recovery was a breeze compared to what I felt during the procedure, particularly on my abdomen. I remember thinking as I was laying on the table, how I’d read that the tumescent fluid would sting going in but the numbing should take effect soon and that I wouldn’t feel anything the rest of the time. Nope. I felt everything on my abdomen. Afterwards my doctor said it may have been due to scar tissue from coolsculpting I’d had done years prior. Now my back didn’t hurt nearly as much (also had coolsculpting there). In fact, I only felt a slight sting as the tumescent fluid went in and that was about it. Anyway, all that to say I’m just not sure I want to put myself through that again otherwise I’d already have scheduled a revision.
