Seven Months Post Op and Lovin It!!!

Well it has been 7 months since I had my Life Style Lift procedure. I think I look great. I feel awesome as well. My face I think looks at least 10-15 years younger. I was gave a really nice compliment tonight. I was told my face looked really fresh . I just smiled and replied, thanks I feel like a fresh face. I said that sums it up real well. I still have numbness in my jaw and under the chin area as well as really numb ears still. I can relate to the woman on here that stated she burnt her ears several times with her curling iron. Well, I have had several ears burns too.. It is true you can`t feet your ears and it is easy to do. We recently went up to New York City for a week of exploring the city. Quite windy up there. Several times I had to readjust my ear muffs because they would somehow end up twisted upwards and would get off my ears but they are still numb and it was hard to tell that they were getting cold. I have had great results from my procedure. I have had Dr. Scheu`s office call me to check up on me and things are great. I am ever so glad that I had the privilege to meet Dr. Scheu and his staff.. I am going to let him to another procedure. I am going to have my upper lids done. As soon as I have been off of my blood thinner that another Dr. has me taking at the moment. Can`t wait to get it done. I will defiantly recommend Dr. Scheu for the work that he does within his office. I will add some present pictures to my profile.

I'm the one with the singed ears LOL and it IS easy to do--you can't feel the approaching heat and my iron is so hot that just a touch is all you need for burnt ears! I'm 17 months post-op and my ears have feeling again although my neck Is still pretty numb--about 25% feeling but I've got almost 100% back in my face (and ears thank GOD--so they're no longer dotted with healing burns LOL Dr. Scheu is the BEST. I'm going to have my eyes done in the next year or so, he does such beautiful work.
I ended up with a third degree burn on the side of my face. It left a scar. Since my face still had limited feeling I did not even know I was burned that badly until my husband asked about the fluid filled bulge on the side of my face. It left s scar even after zplasty. U need to b careful.

Yes, the laser peel helped with that. It leaves your skin very soft. I was gave a nice compliment the other day. I was told my face looked very fresh. Also they did not know of my procedure. I am very happy with my results.
You look good lady! So I'm confused, it looks as though you had a chemical peel or somthing as well along with your lifestyle lift...is that the case? Also, did you have your eyes worked on too... why are they SO swollen in your post-op pics? Was all that swelling and brusing just from the incision around the ears and chin? How much was your procedure in total?
Yes to both of your questions. As I stated in my first comments on this site I had the lift, under the eyes, as well as the laser peel. I posted somewhere in my first comments the answer to all your questions. The price that I was 11,000.00 dollars for the entire procedure. I intend to go back and have the upper lids done too. I have to wait yet for a few months before I can do it though due to a blood thinner that another Dr. has me taking. I can`t wait to have it done.
I forgot to mention my swelling and bruising. I have always had major swelling and bruising from all my surgeries throughout the years. I told Dr. Scheu about that before the surgery. He had me start taking Arnika, a bruising and swelling medications.. I do not know how much it really helped because like I said I bruise and swell a lot and very easy too.
You are smart. People don't realize how important it is to tell the surgeon every detail like that.
Yes I think I swelled and bruised more than any other person from their pictures. It is really bad how easily I bruise.

I too have singed my ears . They are still very numb. Dr. Scheu says it could take up to a year for the numbness to go away. You look good from your procedure too. I think Dr. Scheu does very good work. It shows from our faces..

WOW You look so much better--and like all of Dr. Scheu's patients very natural. I've seen so many "too tight" lifts that look awful plus the tightly pulled skin stretches back quicker than a natural looking improvement. You do look great though!
Yes, as well as you do. It is amazing what a Dr. can do with a scalpel his hand. I truly also think Dr. Scheu leaves you with a more natural look. I am very happy with my results. Can`t wait to be able to do my upper lids. I am not one to frown on plastic surgery. I love it...Thanks for all your compliments and back at you as well.
DID YOU HAVE YOUR EYES DONE/ TOO ?? I thought Lifestyle Lift was only for jowl/neck area ....
Yes I had my lower eyes done and the facial laser peel too I Love the results,,
The Life Style Lift procedure is only the jowl and neck area the lower eyes and laser peel was additional. But, I am ever so happy with the results of it all.

My New Look...

This is my updated picture postings from my procedure. This is a little over 5 mos. I love my new looks. It was a hard recovery for me but was worth it. Dr. Scheu did a great job. Will keep you updated. R Lovett

I have the before and after comparison pictures I will scan them into laptop and post those for you. I have been wanting to do that I was just back at the Drs. office and they took more pictures. The difference is amazing. I am very pleased with my results. I understand that some people does not have as good of results with their procedure but like anything with medical procedures u don't know how they r gonna turn out.
Hello again I have posted the comparison pictures for u to view. I think the difference is night and day and I am still changing,, My face is still relaxing some and the numbness is still in my ears and under the chin area but in time this will get better. They told me it could be a year before completely healed.
I am gonna go have my upper lids done. I am on a blood thinner at the moment for a brain surgery I had and have to take it for 3 more mos. then Dr. Scheu said I would have to wait a couple of months for my blood to be ok before he would do the procedure. He saw how bad I bleed with the first procedure. Also at that time I am gonna have another complete laser facial peel. Cant wait to see the results of it after that then I am finished. I use my sunscreen and lotions everyday as instructed per the Drs. follow up care faithfully and the rest is up to mother nature. Will keep u posted at to changes.
Which is something I never used to do hardly at all. I was never a sunscreen user but I am a sun goddess.
