I'd always had a small chest and had casually thought about a breast augmentation in the past. However, I decided to take other steps to find myself and my happiness. I was always into fitness and nutrition, so I decided to take it up a notch. I worked with a trainer and nutritionist; I was spending six days a week in the gym. I had lost about 6% body fat. With that body fat, also went the rest of my chest. But it got worse. I had two different shaped and sized breasts on my body with two different shaped and sized nipples (32 inches, 1 A cup, and 1 B cup). I should have felt so good knowing I'd worked so hard for a new fit body, but I was still unhappy. My friend had previously had a breast lift and liposuction. I called her to ask for information about her surgeon. About three weeks later, I had made an appointment to meet with Dr. Gurley, only looking for an augmentation. I immediately fell in love with the office, staff, environment, and Dr. Gurley herself. It didn't take anything more than the consultation to convince me I was making the right choice and I had chosen the right doctor. In the next few weeks, with the guidance of the staff, I had chosen the correct procedure and size for me. I had decided to do both a breast augmentation and a mastopexy (they were going to do a reduction, lift, augmentation, and nipple reduction in the right breast). I honestly looked forward to going to my preparation appointments; the staff was so helpful and uplifting! On June 3rd, about a month and a half after my initial phone call, I was ready for my procedure. During my surgery, Dr. Gurley had done an augmentation on the left breast and a reduction/lift/nipple reduction/augmentation on the right breast. Even with it being such a hefty procedure, I was walked 3 miles around the block the next day (of course, not alone). Two days later, I was back to work with minimum pain. Six weeks later, I was in normal bras, swim suits, and able to begin my workout routines again. It's been a year since my procedure (it took about 6-8 months for my breasts to find their permanent placement) and I could not be more thrilled with my results! I feel like I finally have the chest that was made for my body. Despite the major differences before, Dr. Gurley was able to give me the perfect chest. I couldn't have done this without the support and help of Dr. Gurley and her staff. They were available for any questions or pop in appointments I needed. They frequently checked on me and my progress. Dr. Gurley did an amazing job and her staff was there for me every step of the way. Everyone was so honest and genuinely caring. I've recommended Dr. Gurley to friends who were impressed with my results and I will continue to do so. They truly changed my life and my view of myself!
