3 months post-op

So... It's been a while! I finally had my BA on September 26, 2014. When I woke up post surgery, I was SUPER sore. Putting on my post-surgical sports bra was very difficult due to pain and swelling- I definitely recommend going up 1-2 band sizes for your first post-surgical bra. I was very nauseous so as soon as I got home, I went to sleep. When I woke up a few hours later, I felt much better and had some crackers and ginger ale. For the first 2 nights, I slept in my bed. I had no difficulty falling asleep and was comfortable sleeping on my back. The problem with sleeping in my bed was that I couldn't sit up on my own- the pain was excruciating. I couldn't even roll to my side. My husband had to help me up. After 2 mornings of the same pain, I decided to sleep in our new leather recliner. That was MUCH better! I even napped in it. I took painkillers regularly for 4 days and started to wean myself on the 5th day. By the 6th day, I didn't need them anymore. My surgery was on a Friday and I returned to work, as a physiotherapist, the following Wednesday. My manual therapy was limited for about 1-1.5 weeks but after that, I felt fine.

I returned to kickboxing 6 weeks post surgery and experienced no issues at all! My breasts feel more supported than they did pre-injury. I wear good quality sports bras to minimize bouncing but bouncing isn't too much of an issue anyway. I was surprised at how strong my pecs were, considering they were cut open and stretched only weeks before. I felt very weak and nervous doing push-ups, however, and still take it easy with them. I don't know if I want to return to full push-ups. I may stick to knee push-ups. I swear I can feel my implants being compressed when I do push-ups. I don't want my pecs to get too developed because I'm afraid I'll end up with "body-builder boobs"- giant pecs with round boobs centered oddly in the middle of them! LOL! I want them to stay as womanly as possible.

The girls have started to drop and are looking more natural. I no longer have boobs up to my collarbones ;) I'm beginning to feel comfortable showing my cleavage and have bought some nice supportive bras. I can even wear sports bras now without feeling as flat as a board. The only crummy thing about sizing up is I had to get rid of my bikini and high-end bra collections ): I'd been slowly adding nice bras to my wardrobe because they seriously last years longer than LaSenza or Victoria's Secret bras. Now I have to start all over again...

I ended up getting 415cc gummy bear implants and went from a 32B to a 32E/ 30F. Finding a bra that fits is tricky now, as most stores only go up to DD and sometimes I need DDD. Finding bandwidths of 30-32 in large cup sizes is HARD. Overall, though, it was totally worth it! I feel more proportioned- my boobs and my thighs seem like they "belong together"!

I have been using Kelocote for my scarring and they have softened and become much thinner over the past few months. I'm still using the same small tube I bought pre-surgery and won't need to buy another.

I will try to post pics but am having trouble getting them from my Samsung phone onto the computer....

Will it be cancelled???

I am super upset. My surgery is in 3 days and I have a cold... I woke up yesterday with a runny nose and post nasal drip. A friend of mine told me that they will likely cancel my surgery now. Is this true? Why would they cancel it?? Please help me!!

Exercising afterward?

Once you get the "all clear" to restart exercising, do you find that they bounce too much or cause upper to mid back achiness? Do they feel like a lot of extra weight? I want to look better but don't want to sacrifice running, jumping, etc.
