I'm a 53 y.o. 5'5. My weight had topped out at 185 after recovering for a shoulder surgery. In December of 2010 I started running...yep it sucked but I was determined to get in better shape before turning 50. I dropped a few pounds but no inches. My weight yoyo'd for the next two years and three more abdomen surgeries. Still the lowest I got was 150 and I still had a shelf over my c-section scar and I still had to wear bigger shorts/pants to make up for it. I hated my body. But i did not give up running or biking. Finally in January of 2014 my husband watched me run a half marathon and when he showed me videos of myself running I was cried on the inside. How could I work so hard and look so bad? I had friends that had TT so I knew the cost and never would have asked my husband for it. But right before my 53rd birthday he gave me the greatest gift. The day of my surgery I weighed 158lbs and wore size 12 pants/shorts and x-large shirt 6 months later I weigh 140 pounds and wear size 6 in jeans/ 4 in shorts and size medium/ small shirt. I absolutely love getting dressed now. No more loose sweats and t-shirts. We recently went on vacation and for once I did not have to over pack "in case" I'm bloated closes.
I don't regret one single minute of choosing to have a Tummy Tuck/ muscle repair/ hernia repair/ Breast reduction w/ silicone implants/ and lipo of my top inner thighs. It has truly been life changing for me and my husband (wink wink)

You look fabulous. Very sweet of hubby to put you first. Kudos on the weight loss!
Thanks, I do have an amazing hubby and he has become such an advocate of men understanding that women struggle differently with weight then men. Yep I got a winner!
Thanks for sharing. I'm in the 180s now in a 10/12 but got down to a 6 at 160 pounds. I had the hanging thighs and arms and my belly looked like blubber fat with clothes on, wrinkly and nasty without clothes. I'm trying to lose weight before my TT but my thighs will look worse again at a lower weight. I'm so happy for you that you got to fix the whole package. Sounds like your hubby is really supporting. You look fabulous. You deserve this. Happy healing and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the cheers! I don't regret it at all. I still have some wrinkles and cottage cheese on my thighs but hey I'm 53 and I have a flat tummy so I'm okay with that. Lol
Thanks for sharing. You look so amazing. Mine is scheduled for dec 18 and your before/after pics give me hope. My biggest fear (other than safety) is that I won't be flat. I see a few girls that complain of still having a roll other than swelling.
Just talk to your PS and make sure you are both on the same page. Ask him what his expectations are and look for lots of before and afters. I look forward to hearing and seeing your trip to the flat side.
Thanks for sharing and the comments on my page. You look WONDERFUL! Very happy for you, HUGS :-DSuzy
Hugs right back atcha Suzy!
I'm a patient of Dr. Peterson also and I'm 4 days post op... Right now I'm just waiting to get to the point where I start feeling better but I can absolutely agree that he and his staff are wonderful! Congrats on your new tummy ;) looks great!
Looked at your pix and girl you look INCREDIBLE! So excited for you!
Thanks! I'm still healing and feeling a bit like Frankenstein lol but I can see light at the end of the tunnel :)
Just checking to see how you're doing? Had my 6 month check up today and things went great.
That's great news! I got my first drain out yesterday and the other should be good to come out today which will help me feel a little more normal. I have a follow up this Thursday and will post an update.
Did your breasts start out high and tight after your lift? I'm trying to be patient but I'm really hoping they drop a bit... They are way up there lol
