29, Three Kids (2 C-sections) Mommy Makeover 5'2" 129#

I am a 29-year? old who has had three kids and I have some stubborn fat that has stuck with me since the first one. I have always wanted to do something about it but never wanted to risk surgery. And even if I did have a tummy tuck I already hate my c-section scar and I have seen the tummy tuck scars they go from side to side. So after a ton of research I decided to go with the cool sculpting procedure. I chose Ideal Image to perform it. Where I am from they have an excellent reputation.

So I went in yesterday at around 2:30 to start filling out my paperwork and I was doing the procedure after I was done. There was another lady finishing her cool sculpting treatments so I had to wait for her to finish. After I filled out paperwork they took me to a room and I changed into some paper shorts they provided me. Since I was only doing my flanks and upper and lower abdominals I was allowed to keep on my own underwear and my bra. I took my before pictures then we went to the cool sculpting room. I had three procedures done which ended up being eight sessions. Since the Coolmax counts as two sessions.

So I'm in the cool sculpting room and my nurses were awesome! They marked me and told me what to expect as it happened so nothing was a surprise.

So the first cool sculpting session- I had on my right flank and the Coolmax on my left lower abdomen.

They put the flank on first and it wasn't that bad. The suction was a very odd sensation. Then they placed the lower abdomen Coolmax on and it took my breath away the suction was more intesnse. The 10 minutes it takes for the applicators to start cooling is quite uncomfortable as well.

You have to lay still so the applicators don't come un-suctioned. So I laid on my back with an applicator on my side and on my lower stomach. After both applicators were on I started to feel light headed which they said was normal.

They laid me flat and after a few minutes of fanning and some juice I was fine. The 60 minutes are boring. I thought I could work on my laptop or my phone but that was not the case for me. I had so many pillows holding me up and keeping the applicators level there was no room for any laptop. I barely had room for my phone. My butt fell asleep half way through.

When the 60 min are finished my nurse came in and they "pop" the applicator off which I can't even describe the sensation that this feeling is. It doesn't hurt but just feels odd because you are so numb. Then they massage the stick of butter that is your fat for two minutes. The first minute is horrid not so much that you can stand it but more like it's the longest minute of your entire life. The second minute is a little more enjoyable and so it sort of makes up for the first minute.

When they are finished you are freezing. When trying to sit up I was light headed again so I had to lay flat and drink some juice and ate a gronola bar. (I ate at 12:00 and had a snack around 1:30) after 10 minutes or so I felt fine. It felt good to get up and walk around for a few minutes. Then it was on to my next session.

Session two- right Flank and left abdomen- Pretty much the same as the first session. I was a little light headed not as much as the first time. I took a low-grade muscle relaxer that I am prescribed and pretty much slept through this one. It was still very uncomfortable and cold. I was light headed when they took the applicators off.

Session three- The cool max on my upper abdomen- This one I can compare to child birth. It was a pretty painful experience. I think its more in your head because when they put the applicator on its like you can't breathe because it was right on top of my rib cage. My nurse just kept making me take deep breaths and that helped greatly!!! I slept through this one also but I had issues with the breathing because I couldn't take a deep breath.

Now for the removal- This was right up there with being dilated to a 10 and wanting to push an 8-pound baby out without an epidural. The massage was awful I was almost in tears with this one and I have a very high pain tolerance. I once again was light headed when I tried to get up.

After it was all finished I highly recommend a compression garment. I honestly don't know how you can't use one. Your stomach feels like it's cold and numb and you were just kicked repeatly in it. I drove myself home and went out to dinner afterwards. It was uncomfortable and I was tired. No way could I have gone to the gym or back to work after having all three procedures like I did. I was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to crawl in bed. Total time I was there from 2:30- 7:30 pm
