Wow!
Yesterday was one week post and all I can say is wow! It's been an easy week for me. I've had absolutely no pain from the tummy area, and only minimal discomfort from my breasts due to my pec muscles enjoying a few spasms here and there. That was not at all what I expected!
I had my drain removed on Tuesday and I'm cleared for the pool as early as this Sunday! I feel great! I never dealt with constipation, as I started a juicing regimen a few days before surgery, and I kept juicing for the first four days after.
Pec muscle spasms were eased by a combination of light massage and heat/ice compresses alternated.
Really? The whole experience was extremely pleasant! My doctor was an outstanding choice and the professional people at Springfield Clinic Surgery Center were absolutely top notch! Absolutely would recommend them to anyone!

You look amazing - and awesome for you that you breezed through the first week of recovery. I think there is an absolute direct correlation with recovery time and fitness level. Since you are cleared for the pool I see a lot of bikini time in your future. Share some bikini shots with us! I'm so happy you feel as great as you do and didn't experience any complications thus far!

Done!
After five long hours in surgery, I went home. The long lasting local numbing shot made life SO much easier! Esparil is the name of it and it's good for three days. Today, the day after, has been pretty unremarkable. I have some pain, but not much. I didn't wake up this morning groggy or disoriented. My husband cannot believe it!
I go to the doc this afternoon to get some of these wraps undone. I haven't even looked! The photo below was taken yesterday morning minutes before surgery:)
