V Beam for Rosacea - Spring, TX

UPDATED FROM MommyLovesRiker
4 months post

Love results

WORTH IT$400
I really love the results. Totally worth $800. I only did two treatments and I'm happy. I'm sure I could do one or two more and see even less redness so that might be in my future

What is your opinion ? Hello I did 1 st v beam 1 week ago and I don't see any result. All my post acne and redness still the same. I am thinking to do 2 nd one or no . Looks like I will waste 800 for nothing.
Your results look terrific and yes, I would say definitely worth the $800 you paid. My first experience with laser treatment for rosacea (9 years ago now) ended with results that looked very much like this, so I'm suspecting it was VBeam that was used at that time on me too.

Since then, I have had multiple treatments here and there (thinking what I needed was IPL) but with many unwanted side effects or, no effects at all.

I have just started researching and now realize that it must have been VBeam that I was originally treated with, and out of all treatments, was the only laser that really worked to clear up and control rosacea.

That said, I have been reading many testimonials on here where some people haven't been so fortunate in their treatment and have experienced all kinds of unwanted side effects, either from too high of settings, or perhaps not even the correct laser used at all.

Since I am needing treatment again, could you please ask the dermatologist office that did this treatment for you to provide the exact name of the machine used on you (Candela VBeam? VBeam Perfecta?) and also the settings they used for your skin type, and then let us know?

I think this would be helpful information for anyone considering this type of treatment, since it looks like the tech or doc that performed yours, did it right.

In my opinion, more treatments (2-3) at a lower setting seems to give the best results with less downtime, and the only pain one should feel during treatment is what feels like a rubber band snap every time the laser fires (is this what you experienced?). If you blister afterwards, then the setting was too high.

Sorry this was such a long response, but am hoping maybe the derm office who treated you, could provide you with specifics about your treatment that you could share with us on here. Thank you!
Guys , have you tried cutera excel v, lower wavelength? 532 as far as I remember . I'm going to give it a go in Dec or Jan
Your skin look amazing!!
Hi i got 3 treatments 3 weeks apart between each one and the last one was 2 weeks ago. I still flush and see lots of redness. I was wondering if it took a fews weeks to get to his best after your last treatment?
Wow! Looks great!!

I've gone about as far as I can go with chemical peels and masks and an intense home care routine that reduced the redness by about 60%. The laser was not nearly as painful as I thought. I'm absolutely LOVING the results. Everyday I'm so pleased and thankful that I got this done! I have had two treatments done 4 weeks apart and I can't wait for the next one!

What doctor did you go to?
I went to Spring Dermatology on Kuykendahl near 2920
Where did you go to? I'm in Houston and don't know what doctor to go to!
Hi - looks good! Can I ask you what they charged? Was it an esthetician or MD?
Did you do more treatments? Waiting for you pictures and review update. I made it yesterday. How do you think when I will see first results ?
Could you post an update please ? I suffer from Rosacea too and consider v beam or cutera v excel in a few months after my skin calms down.
You don't have to wait until your skin calms. I went for one when my skin was on fire and it takes it all away after about 20 minutes. It's miraculous.
