Just want a better profile and feel more confident. Well I've never liked my nose. I thought when I was younger that I would grow into it, but no way! So .. I had my second consultation for rhinoplasty two days ago and put my $$ down. I'm pretty excited and a little scared! Ahh! Surgery is scheduled for March 19 th. I'm on their "list" to go in earlier if anyone cancels etc. I've got my mind set that I'm doing this! I had breast augmentation in April and I'm having the same doc fix up my nose. I'm very happy with the results of my girls , and I like the guy! Very nice,good listener and real. No bull. He listens to what you want, and doesn't give his opinion without you asking..(I was initially bothered almost by this) but am happy now.

Part of me says "who cares what people say" My husband is supportive and tells me to do whatever makes me happy. My best friend on the other hand..I had breast aug in April and found it pretty messed up that she didn't call for a couple days and then only text. We have hardly seen each other since and doesn't bring it up either. Jealous? We don't have a ton of money but we are responsible with it. Even her husband is being weird. My family was supportive at least! Idk. Oh well I guess. Shows me how close we were. I'm not even telling her about my rhino..why bother. I actually don't think I will tell anyone but I know people will probably notice. Mom and sis especially. I feel different about telling them about nose job . My worry is people will think I'm superficial or have a lot of $? I know that I want this and will be more confident.. Cuz dang..I should've done this a long time ago. Better late than never. Anywho..whaaaa me..I'm still totally stoked about it! I just needed to vent a little. Anyone else in similar circumstances?

Smh it's sad when "best friends" act like that! Like you said.. You see how close you 2 were. Later for her & anyone else who has a problem with what you're doing. If it makes you happy & your husband is supportive, go for it! I'm happy & excited for you... I will be getting a mommy makeover... Can't wait!

I got to a point in my life right after I had my rhinoplasty surgery I don't care what people think of me besides my children and bf. This is your life. Your husband is by your side. There's nothing wrong with making yourself look and feel better. We have one life. I wish you the best of luck :)

Hi Jen! I have finally posted some pics! I'm getting nervous and excited! One more month! I also had thought about a chin implant but decided in my case (and dr opinion) that once my nose is less projected it will hopefully be what I want. How were you with ur recovery from breast aug? Mine was pretty smooth but I think this may be a little rough! The patience part especially..How are you holding up?

Hi. I am excited just like you!! Getting nervous about recovery. Hoping I look as good as I picture it in my head. Somewhat worried about pain because of multiple procedures.
The breast augs were great and recovery was easy. Couple times I couldn't pull a door open in public because the pain was bad. But walking talking and energy was good.
Yea, I think this nose/chin thing will be on another level. More pain , more time to see end result. But I'm ready and you sound like it too!! Thanks for posting pics. I am excited for you!! Have a good day & blessings to us.

Thanks for response! One more month to go! Do you know how much the blood tests cost? I never figured that one in for my expenses. Keep me updated. Our surgeries are 4 days apart! Have a good one!

Hi. Hope you're having a good day. I just need a hemoglobin lab. That may cost me my co pay of $25 Im thinking. The surgeon will do remaining and thats included in his fee. I hope this helps.

I'm kind of a wreck. Super nervous. Worrying about results. Cannot wait to see doctor too. Need some reassurance. I'm gonna call him tmro I think. Been drinking my share of wine :) I hope your appt goes really good. What are you're concerns? Keep me posted. Good to hear from you.

Sorry..yes my surgery is March 19th but I'm going in to pay and speak about procedure ( do and don't) etc. one more time. I thought when I had my breast aug I did this the day before? Idk. Ya ..I would call and talk to ur Dr. I think it will help. I have my appt at 1 today. Just want him to say it will be great and no worries! So one of my concerns is he told me last time we spoke that my cast or splint?? will be on for 2 weeks! That's a long time to be a hermit in my house!! I've had a few drinks myself

So what did he say?? Haha! Is it gonna be 2wks with the cast? That is a long time to be cooped up in the house. Maybe you could rock a baseball hat and attend a movie. But I hear the cast should help with swelling so it might be worth keeping it that long. I didn't call the doctor today. I'm trying to be patient. I did however add 30 min to my pre op exam on the 9th to discuss some things. Did you already do your shopping for your recovery? I don't think Ive ever been so excited to buy a travel pillow and ice packs before!! Lol!!

Surgery time is 6:45 am on 19th! So I feel a lot better! My blood pressure was actually kinda high when they took it.. It's never been high! Ahh! But I do feel good after talking w him. He's an awesome guy. Ya I probably will end up sneaking out here and there..no way can I sit in the house for yes..two weeks! He said it's because he will most likely break my nose and the splint is holding it together. Omg. Yeah I also have ordered my pillow on Amazon yesterday. I've done most of my shopping. I still have arnica and bromelain from breasts. I don't know if they work really.. But I'll try anything to recover quickly. I've been stocking up on pinnapple in a can, Apple sauce and low sodium broths and soups. I might make some soup the day before. It is funny how it's exciting! I will be picking up my prescriptions tomorrow. Good idea adding time to your appt. so you can take your time. My appt was about 45 mins. Hope all is good!

Sounds like things went really good. Sweet! Sounds like you are about ready, just waiting for it to get here. Ive been trying to fill my calendar to help pass the time. Also to see friends and family since I think we'll be bumps on a log for at least 10days. Getting in some fun while I can. I definitely agree that this site is making us more nervous. At times I try to avoid it too. So I totally get it and will continue to check in with you. Like you said you'll get notifications in your email. Talk to you soon.
