Let me start by saying that Dr. Chestnut is the BEST Spokane has to offer! At this point I have mixed review on PRP (Vampire Facial), I understand that it takes time to see the results so I'll review what I've seen 2.5 weeks post. I've seen some dramatic results in some areas and none in others. I NO LONGER have any crowsfeet, bunnylines, 11's and my forehead is like glass BUT I haven't seen any improvement undereye (still crepey), lines around my mouth (smoker for 20 years so I can't expect miracles), no difference in pore size (nose, chin), I still have "smirk" lines at the corner of my mouth and it did nothing for my broken capilliaries (Not sure it was suppose to help that tho). All of that being said, I'm hoping for more results over the next few months like Sculptra (worth every penny - DO IT) and from what I've read some people need more that one treatment of the PRP. If you are considering do it make sure you give yourself at least 4 days recover, I had some bruising, redness and swelling for about a week but was able to go back to work after 4 days without to many people noticing.

I had the derma needle treatment...and I didn't see any results what so ever! I have been told these treatments need to be ongoing every 4 to 6 weeks! I personally don't think they are worth the money.

I had microneedling done, but one session is simply not enough to make the difference I'm sure you are seeking. I bought a package of 5 sessions, each one month apart. After each session I could see an improvement. After all 5 my 66 year old skin was transformed! It is recommended that you go back every 6 months to a year for follow up treatments.

Can you tell me the needle depth? 1. or 2.0? Thanks. Am about to start

I've had about 24 treatments. Absolutely worth the money. Money was an issue though. First time I payed $350 at a high-end spa. The second time I used a Groupon and got three for 300. I felt like it was a better experience than the high-end spa. I bought another 3 for 300 Groupon from the same person. At this point I was seeing incredible results. I then did a vast amount of research and bought my own machine ($300) . It now costs me the price of the needles tip. ($10ish)

I've had 2 sessions of microneedling with prp. I was pleased with how little downtime, and the PRP injections were painful. But tolerable. Unfortunately, I don't think I can see any change in my skin. So I wouldn't recommend it for wrinkles.

Risk vs. Reward...

Sadly I have to change my review to "not worth" the price..The risk (painful, downtime, cost, results) were greater than the reward (no visible difference in smile lines, pore size, texture, luminosity) The results I do see I have seen with my Dysport injections (smooth forehead, and crowsfeet, no 11's) I would not do this procedure again not would I recommend it to anyone.

What machine did they use? Was it a test tube system? Did they inject or just near smear the PRP over the skin after microneedling?
The research and Science on PRP is that it should be injected and needs to be a dual spin system to generate the highest level of PRP concentration. Anything else is basically a huge wast of money. Most places only have single spin like regen, eclipse, dr PRP, etc. the only 2 dual spin centrifuges on the market o would even consider is harvest Terumo and Emcyte.
This is a common comment after receiving single spin. So sorry.

How do you search for offices that use that system? Does the company have a website of doctors who use it? Or what key words would you use to search for them on google?

They have a website..but not all providers are on there. I suggest just being an informed consumer and asking a lot of questions.

Didn't they properly numb you? Was a 2.5 mm needling used. Am about to have procedure but no fan of pain. Anymore info helpful as I am nervous. Thanks.

I just had this procedure done at Mays Dermatology here in Louisville. Wow the PRP injections hurt terribly but now that’s it’s over I am certainly glad they injected the plasma into the dermis instead of just massaging it in on top of the skin. I feel like I really got my money’s worth and that the results I’m expecting are soon to come. I have had microneedling before with no injections and would probably never do it without PRP again

It is so helpful when others post honest straight forward reviews. I have been on the fence regarding a feq procedures and now have a better idea of what to do moving forward. Thank you!
Thank you for your post! Please post your pics - love to see your results!
Are you planning to have more treatments to the areas you mention above? Are there other procedures you are considering?
