I had just normal aging changes in my eyes, brows,...

I had just normal aging changes in my eyes, brows, skin and face. Dr. Chesnut educated me on the aging process, how we can address those changes both surgically and non-surgically, and we started making a plan. The plan worked out beautifully! My results are so natural, I look like I did when I was younger, and nobody walking down the street would every know that I had surgery. We emphasized the natural results, subtle improvement, and Dr. Chesnut spent a lot of time getting an exact feel for what I was after. I really believe that extra effort just listening to me helped him, and he nailed it. I would do it all over again in a second, that is not to say the recovery wasn't a recovery, but it was well worth it, especially since once recovery period accounted for so many things. If you're considering it, go for it, he will give you results you love.

I was very nervous about having cosmetic surgery at all, but after meeting Dr. Chesnut and seeing his results, I was confident and excited about the journey ahead. Dr. Chesnut is truly a national expert on minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, and he lectures to other physicians about his techniques - far too many doctors say they are experts and give talks, but shortly after my surgery, Dr. Chesnut gave 4 presentations at a major national meeting on eyelid surgery alone! His expertise impressed me, but his bedside manner was even more incredible. He is kind, genuine, and confident - kind of an odd combination, but it gave me confidence that he was going to do the best job of anyone I'd met with (which was everyone) and he was going to care about me and my individual results. That is exactly what happened. I was a little concerned about a few of the logistics at first because he was different; his anesthesia technique is unique to others I had met with, and he practices at a dermatology office... Here is what I learned after meeting with him and doing my own research: the minimalist anesthesia he does is the most modern, safe, and progressive way to perform anesthesia for these types of cosmetic surgery. You have to find a very well trained and recently trained surgeon who is capable of doing this, and that is Dr. Chesnut in a nutshell, having done his cosmetic surgery fellowship training in the promised land of Los Angeles. The anesthesia was so easy, comfortable, and I felt very safe knowing I didn't need a tube in my throat to breathe for me. It also allowed him to do numerous procedures at once without worrying about time under with general anesthesia, which was very nice for me. I'm so glad he did it that way. He has two, legitimate, separate parts of his training, first in dermatology and then in dermatologic and cosmetic surgery, which was extra training called a fellowship that very few surgeons do. I asked my "cosmetic" plastic surgeons that I had talked to, and none of them had done a fellowship. When I asked about numbers of facelifts and eyelid surgeries done in training, most of them were at about 1/5 of what Dr. Chesnut had done in his specific, cosmetic surgery fellowship. Whereever you are, look for that fellowship training in your doctor, it gives them so many more specific cosmetic surgeries under their belt. Where I live in Spokane, Dr. Chesnut is one of the only doctors with this, and his was the most specific to cosmetics. The surgery day was easy, with the relaxing medicine I slept through it, and it felt like I was in and out even though it took from the morning to early afternoon. I recovered quickly, at home, because I had no general anesthesia. The recovery process was exactly what Dr. Chesnut had thoroughly set me up for. It was a journey, but he called me frequently to check up, and I saw him in regular scheduled visits a fist time within the first week, which was very, very nice to be able to have him sit down with me and provide reassurance and comfort. He is very thorough and genuine, as I said. I was swollen for a couple of weeks but still looking good, and now more than 5 months out I cannot express how happy I am with my results! You see all of these reviews about how thorough he is with follow up, caring about you, taking care of you, and I got to experience it for myselft with wonderful results. I wish I would have done it earlier, and I'm so glad I did everything at once. I was unsure about the laser, and after talking with him and researching I decided to do it with the other surgical procedures, and I'm glad I did. You cannot go wrong with someone like Dr. Chesnut, he is worth every penny. He far exceeded my expectations.
