52 Yrs Old, First Sculptra Treatment Rocks! - Spokane, WA

After the last few years of trying Thermal,...
WORTH IT$1,800
After the last few years of trying Thermal, Ultherapy, and lots of surface facial products, I decided to research injectable fillers to add back volume in my thinning face, particularly the cheek and outside brow areas. Fillers like Juvederm and others are off the list for me because of allergy history, not to mention I have yet to see these fillers look natural on anyone. Sculptra came up during my research as a viable injectable with little chance of allergic reactivity that could cause me a problem. The only holdback for me was it's pricey, and requires multiple injection sessions with bigger needles than I've ever had poked into my face. I took the plunge and had my first session in February, which hurt a whole lot during the injection process. I thought after that I would not do another treatment, but the results have been so fantastic I have changed my mind. Heck, I had two babies without meds so this really wasn't so bad. Even with two sessions left to go and a couple more weeks of improvement due to the collagen building process, I am sold on this treatment. The increase in volume is subtle, but substantial enough count without looking like I had anything done. Next two sessions I plan to take something to decrease my pain response and anxiety about the injections, which should help a lot. Hubby will have to drive me to and from, but that's not big deal. I was swollen and had a couple of bruises on my cheek and eyebrow (I bruise easily, so not surprised), was very sore for a few days but managed that pain with Tylenol. It was a good week before I felt good about being out and about, although I covered with makeup and was back at work after three days. Soreness was worst with the required self-massage to help distribute the solution, but was diminished to barely there within 10 days.

Eyebrows? It sounds as if you had your entire face done? Would love to see pics, I understand the privacy thing maybe a mark across eyes will allow you to post and retain privacy.
Thank you for sharing!
Great details. Would you mind sharing if you're still happy with results now that it's been nearly a year out?

So the lidocaine spread across your face didn't numb sufficiently? I have had this done and I don't remember the pain being remarkable. Yes, there is some discomfort. I like sculpture too, I have only done it twice, five years apart and only one session and still saw improvement, would be too scared to add more because one seemed to do the trick adding fullness for me.
Sculptra.
