In 2008 I had a breast augmentation done after I had two kids. The surgeon at the time only did saline filled implants which I was fine with since I did under the muscle at 480CC. 2 months ago I woke up to my right breast completely deflated. I decided that I wanted to for sure replace them and knew I wanted silicone this time. I had a lot of rippling on the outer part of my breasts from the saline. After meeting with my surgeon we decided over the muscle would be best. I have a lot of breast tissue already. One problem I had under the muscle was the separation of the implant and my breast tissue. I haven't finalized the implant size but I'm thinking of 330-360 moderate profile silicone over the muscle. I want them to look as natural as possible. My last augmentation they were very natural looking but were too large and heavy.

I'm very nervous about the recovery. Not so much about the pain but keeping it clean and preventing large scars. Any tips on products to help with healing scars?

Ready for the drains to be gone

jc23Mama
So it's been 5 days since surgery and overall I'm feeling good. The few few days were a bit of a haze with pain meds and sleeping. The bruising has set in but don't feel as sore or swollen. The drains are an annoyance although I though they are doing a job. I'm just ready for them to be out. It's hard to shower with them and constantly drain and record the output. So far I love the smaller size. I went from 480 to 360.

They look great! What bra size were you before?

My previous implants had me at a 34DDD. I'm happy to have downsized. Still to early to tell what size I will be but I'm guessing a 34D

And thank you! I'm very happy so far :)

I'm currently a deflated 36D and my surgeon suggested silicone overs. I haven't found many ladies on here that went that way. Nice to see someone who has.

I struggled with finding reviews as well. I had saline unders before so I was nervous. I'm so extremely happy I went over the muscle. I had enough tissue for it and you really can't tell the difference so far. When is your surgery?
April 13, 2017
Yeah most ppl do unders. I have the tissue also. May 8th. My preop is in less than 2 weeks. I'm getting so nervous. I don't want to really be larger, just full and perky.

Hematoma and emergency surgery

jc23Mama
Yesterday was my one week post op visit where my drains were removed and everything has been looking fantastic. The healing progress has been going great and my breasts even look fantastic so early on with very little swelling. Last night I developed a hematoma in my left breast. It started to swell very quickly and within 30 min was double the size of my other breast. I called my surgeon and met her for surgery to drain. I had never experienced anything like this. She said it was rare especially so far out from the actual surgery. Within 1 hour my drain hole was gushing blood and my skin had been stretched to cause extreme pain. The surgery went well and they cleaned it all up. Dr said I should heal with the same results from the beginning but my left breast will be a little behind in healing.
