Spironolactone 50mg Didn’t Work, 75mg Did

Writing this review regarding the dose on Spironolactone and to give some people a bit of hope if the low dose doesn’t work. I had severe cystic acne (2 years) and was put on 50mg of spironolactone in June 2019, up to October it didn’t do anything, disheartened and worried I’d have to go on accutane, I went back to the dermatologist and she upped my dose to 75mg , initially I had a flare up but started to see a huge difference beginning of January
I’m also on the Keto diet which reduces inflammation and lowers insulin , I also supplement with magnesium for leg cramps caused by spironolactone.

This is before and after pictures
I’ve still got a long way to go but I am so happy with the change I’ve noticed since I’ve upped the dose!

I use Face theory products aswell
The c5 cleanser
Salycic acid serum
Retinol moisturiser
They are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone with oily acne prone skin
