I never released how much of an issue I had with...
The procedure was booked in quick and when the day came I was in and out within 8 Hours. Everyone was lovely and looked after me as I don't do blood , needles or anything. I was scared I wasn't going to wake up! I did. The nurse held my hand and chatted to me as I cried being put under (don't worry I did want to go thought with it I was just scared) I woke up 'more drowsy than most' and nearly fainted at the sight of the blood after my 1st trip to the toilet.
The recovery was interesting, In was in a lot less pain than I thought I would be. I stopped taking the pain medication after 2 days. Having to touch it every day though I wasn't a fan of. It did bleed for a while after but that does stop. The more you walk the better, although I couldn't bring myself to bend my knees while doing so for some reason. Getting in an out of a car was hard as well, I had to practically lie down. I had a week off work, didn't come down stairs for 3 days, My family just brought me food in-between my sleeping. I don't think I sat down properly for 2 weeks ish, I have a stand up desk at work though so that didn't effect me. I didn't drive for 2 weeks after either.
It is healing well apparently, it can be a bit tender when sitting down and you can feel the small scars, but that will go and I keep using moisturizer as I've been told.
Now 3 Months down the line I am so happy, I am not bothered about showing Doctors, I even when for a smear which Id been avoiding, and I can look at it!!
When I told my mum what I was doing- naturally I cried, but she was more socked that I was going to go through with it. I did and I am so glad, I would 100% do it again. I kind of wish Id done it earlier.
Provider Review
Mr K Mehboob Ali, where do I start he was just lovely. He seemed un-phased by the fact that I was about to show him my privates, which was what I needed as I was so scared to be there. He was very professional and understood that I wasn't comfortable. He booked me in for the Op as soon as he could. He checked on me while I was in my hospital room, before the op outside the theatre and after the operation. His Nurse Anna was just a nice, she was there at every meeting, popped in to see me the morning of my operation before Dr Ali and she saw me a few days after the op to check on the healing. Every meeting with Dr Ali was quick and to the point but not rushed which suited me as it wasn't a conversation I was too keen talking about. If I ever had to have any other procedures or I chose to have any, I would 100% go to him. I can not thank him enough, I am just so happy with the work he has done and the service he and his team provided.
