I had thought about surgery for quite a few years,...
I had thought about surgery for quite a few years, having a baby young really changed the appearance of my breasts. I was left with zero confidence and extremely unhappy. I felt really embarrassed. After doing research over the years I picked a surgeon at spire hospitals in murrayfield. Dr. Cameron Raine was a highly recommended surgeon by lots of girls I had spoken with. I decided to take the plunge and go for a consultation. Leaving his office after the first consultation I felt upset as I could not go ahead with a straight forward breast augmentation. This had been my fear after having two kids and with effects of breast feeding sagging of the breasts had really settled in.
I had a long think about what would happen next as this not only meant a bigger operation of mastopexy and augmentation it also increased the cost of the operation. It also meant having more scarring that was more visible.After more research and picture comparisons I made up my mind.
I knew I had found the perfect surgeon and all there was to do now was go for it.
We discussed sizes and I tried different implants in sports bras to get ideas. We settled on 370cc under the muscle tear drop.
The day of my surgery came round quickly and I was made to feel at complete ease by all the spire medical staff and my surgeon.
Coming round from surgery I was taken back to my hospital room and well looked after. I was sore and in pain and felt an over all tightness in the chest which my surgeon had explained.
10 days passed and my scars already looked brilliant and it felt too good to be true as the nurses gave me such compliments on them for being so early in recovery process. I was over the moon.
4 weeks on my right side scar re opened as a dissolvable stitch hadn't dissolved properly . Dr. Raine and his team made sure I was seen right away and provided me with dressings and antibiotics to make sure everything would fully heal.
This happened a couple more times but I only needed dressings after this and my doctor was happy to see me everytime and reassure me of any worries and questions I had. This made a fully recovery within a few weeks.
3 months on my scars are great I am thrilled with the results. Seeing before and after pictures of myself has made me even happier of choice to go ahead with surgery .
If I could do anything again I would have made the choice to go ahead with surgery sooner. I can't thank Dr.Raine enough for all his help and care throughout everything. He has done an amazing job and really has made a huge impact on my confidence in myself.
