I had been unhappy with the size and shape of my breasts for many years and was fed up of wearing padded bras to get the profile I wanted.
Mr Murphy talked me through what to expect from the procedure and I was pleased to hear that he didn't consider an uplift necessary. He also reassured me that he would choose implants to suit my body size and that he expected them to last without need for later treatment. Mr Murphy chose teardrop profile silicone implants over the muscle. I was concerned that as I get older my skin would thin revealing the shape of the implant but Mr Murphy explained that implants have a more natural movement and breast shape evolves more naturally if placed over the muscle as ageing occurs. I was also concerned that I wanted my breasts to look fuller and larger but not unnaturally or noticeably so and this is exactly what Mr Murphy has achieved. I now how the fullness I want with a good rounded profile without the need for any padded bras. The procedure was uneventful - all went extremely well and I was very well cared for by the hospital staff. I enjoyed the experience, it was relaxing, very little discomfort afterwards and I took pain killers after the operation more to avoid any anticipated pain - but did not actually experience any pain at all. For the following four weeks I felt "upholstered" and was beginning to wonder if my breasts would ever feel as though they belonged to me. By evening time my "magic bra" supplied by Mr Murphy felt tight and constricted and had to come off and I felt uncomfortable but not in pain. I rested completely for the first 3 weeks and I feel that this helped me make a good recovery as by the fifth week suddenly my breasts became mine again - they no longer felt "upholstered" and were completely comfortable and softer and natural looking. I'm still wearing the "magic bras" as recommended by Mr Murphy for another couple of months, they are soft and give good support with broad straps and I am happy to put off shopping for bras for a while longer. I am thrilled with my breasts, they look and feel perfect and my partner loves them too. I wish I had done this years ago. I chose Mr Murphy because he is registered with BAAPS and is a highly qualified NSH surgeon. I think he did a wonderful transformation for me and I am very grateful to him. He has assured me that he will provide aftercare should any problems arise and has explained fully about what complications can occur in some people later on and what can be done about it.
