WORTH IT
I am now 4 months post op from a bilateral pinnaplasty and I couldn’t have hoped to achieve a better outcome!

I’ve never been under general anaesthetic before, and as this procedure was under two hours I decided to have my treatment performed under local, which also meant I was discharge quickly after and soon recovering in my own bed. In the first few days following surgery I had virtually no pain from my ears, my only discomfort was the head bandage as it was quite tight which made it difficult to sleep in a comfy position, but I only had to wear it for a week.

Seeing Mr Mahajan was the best decision, as he made me feel completely at ease at my initial consultation, during surgery and in my follow up. This treatment has helped my confidence and I can’t wait to show them off! What a friendly, humble and competent surgeon. Thank you so much.

What was the surgery like under local?? I’m having it done tomorrow and am trying to find as much feedback for the procedure to mentally prepare myself lol

Honestly couldn’t feel a thing, the most daunting thing is walking in but as soon as you lay down you feel at ease. I was in for about hour and half and it flew!

Did the noises sound really weird? Every review I’ve read they just complain about hearing what’s going on and how it can make it a little unsettling. They gave me a Valium to take before and told me to take my pain killer and 50mg of Benadryl as well. I’m hoping to be too out of it to care what is going on.

Erm it’s a very unusual noise yes, but it’s more like putting an ear budd in your ears, it’s not scary or anything as you can’t feel what’s going on, maybe the odd tug every now and then! You just gotta think about the results after works and how worth it it is!
