After losing 160lbs, my arms were my biggest insecurity, with nearly 6 inches of hanging skin. I opted to have a combo surgery (arm lift & extended tummy tuck) with Dr. Ortega at spectrum aesthetics in Miami, Florida. Dr. Ortega explained to me in detail why my arm skin hung the way it did, & what exactly he could do to fix it, why it would be successful, & how it would look while healing. We discussed my body proportions to my arm size as well. I am only a week post op, and my arms are still swollen & healing, but I couldn't be happier. They are smooth, easy to put against my body, minimal pain, and more mobility than I ever expected. I cannot wait to continue to watch them shrink as the swelling dissolves!

Dr. Ortega is an amazing surgeon. His work speaks for itself, gorgeous shaping of bodies, clean and small incisions, just overall beautiful results! What impressed me the most was his bedside manner! He is kind, witty, & generally interested in what you, as the patient, has to say! I would recommend him times a million, and I will come back to him again. Wonderful human and surgeon.

Well done and I hope you heal well. I am three weeks post surgery and it has been so much easier than I ever dreamed it would be. I have been really good and everything my surgeon told me to do. He wanted to keep my arms away from water for two weeks which I did and kept them elevated too. No stretching or lifting. I am lucky to have had a lovely husband who helped so much. Now I can do things around the home and go for an hours walk most days. I do get tired and I don't have as much energy as before surgery yet. But if I had known how painless this surgery was I would not have worried so much beforehand. Please let us know how you are getting on. Happy healing :)

You and I have similar body types. I am going to have my brachio done on Tuesday 3/7 (technically 1 day pre-op). Hope you have minimal scarring and you heal quickly. I hope I have results like yours. Looks like your doc got your arms nice and tight. My doctor tells me she'll go down into my forearm a little so my transition is smooth. I have had 100+lbs weight loss with diet and exercise, and I'm probably a bit older than you so I have less skin elasticity. Looking forward to seeing your updates! Good Luck!
