Post op swelling
Well its been 24 days since my surgery. My life is almost back to normal, but today when i took my binder off my tummy seemed to be getting bigger. Not sure if its swelling or im getting fat ????. After several attempts to speak with someone at spectrum im kinda sad about what's happening and concerned i might be doing something wrong

You do look swollen in these pics, which is prob what it is. Have you been doing a lot lately? I found that if I put my binder back on and rested for a day, it got better. My swelling really started going down dramatically around 6-7 weeks post op though, so you may just need some time for it to go away
Im only 3 weeks post op. I should probably take it easy and wear my binder more. I have slacked off since i feel better
Oh yes than that's prob why your swollen. Relax and put on that binder and you should see a difference in a couple days :)
Hey hun. I'm still swollen as well. It worsens without binder. I will be 5 weeks POST Friday.
I guess i need to keep my binder on more cause I honestly do take it off a lot.
I actually wear mines 23 hours a day... if that... I only take it off to shower! I researched it and see that you will swell as your body is getting used to being without it. My binder isn't tight anymore either. I can nearly wrap it all the way around. I bout a firm shaper to wear under it.
Dr. Ortega says the swelling can last for 6 months. You should be wearing a compression garment and drinking a lot of water to help flush things out!. Also, I noticed you still are covering your drain wholes. Taking the gauze off and just put neosporin on it will close up faster. I took my drains out last 7 days ago and they are closed!
Thank you for the tips I thought i was supposed to keep them covered after I applied the neosporin, and im not a big water drinker so I guess i need to do that as well
Yes hun it is imperative to drink water!
I cover my drain holes up for the first couple of days but I noticed it was just keeping it moist looking. So I stopped covering them up and just appliedbNeosporin and then my tank top and I noticed that the scab came like the next day. I guess it needs some air to scab over.

Hi you look great! And hope the swelling has gone away!
Can I ask why you were sad and what happened at Spectrum?
After having my surgery and returning home i had a few questions and concerns. I called the office, emailed, chatted amd also sent messages via instagram and wasnt able to reach anyone. I did get a return email saying the nurse would
Call me but i never got the call

Ok yeah I have called to get information about Dr Ortega In having a TT but no one has called me back it's been 2 days now. I'm just wondering if I should go with another Dr! I need to research some more now

My scar seems to be healing Pretty good but my sides where the drains were are still bothering me. I still have swelling which is normal and i can finally sleep on my back and sides but only for a short time. I go back to work tomorrow, hopefully itll be a smoove transition after being off for 3 weeks
