Using this site I selected a few docs to meet with.
I selected Dr. Orseck for many reasons. He specializes in total contouring ensuring a smooth look overall. I opted for overnight stay in hospital and medical transport home since I live an hour away. Morning after surgery can only be described as brutal. Took me an hour to get out of bed and it was excruciating. However, the more I moved, the better it got. I chanted 'use your arms and legs' to remind myself to do just that. I am now at the end of day 2 and only taking acetomenophine and ibuprofen. Just had my first shower and am very pleased.
I recommend getting a walker- this helps so much! Can't stand straight yet- but that is to be expected. So far so good and I am so happy I did it:
I had my boyfriend, sister, and 2 best friends set up to help making life so much easier.

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for starting your review.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

I elected this procedure because I had what can only be described as 2 rolls (upper and lower abs) I am 5'8 - weight stable at 180 lbs. for at least 6 years. (Work out and eat well) Nothing changed the excess skin and lax muscles from pregnancy (2 children) I was terribly self conscious about my stomach and thought about it constantly. I am a public speaker/presenter and always felt Embarrassed about my stomach. It held me back from being my most confident self.

I want to clarify something I posted earlier--I have been taking acetaminophen and ibuprofen during the day only requiring the 'heavy duty' stuff at night and when I wake up.

Feeling really good- finally looked at myself in mirror- front and back- i don't recognize my own body!

I almost cried. I am so very happy! I can tell I am swollen but it is still so gratifying.

Still have one drain- I over did it a few nights ago and paid for it yesterday. Have to remind myself that I have to stay still, rest, hydrate, and take care of myself to continue the healing process.

Tried to sleep in my bed 7 days post op and it was too soon. I am in my recliner and that is so much better!

Pain level is low - only taking Acetaminophen!

I have invested tremendously in my body- both financially and emotionally. I am going to protect my investment!

Will continue to post updates.
