I have lost about 30lbs over this past year. Like I many others... I have struggled to lose that stubborn fat on my upper arms. I started looking into different options and decided to give Smart Lipo a whirl. I'm not really nervous about the procedure... more excited than anything. The part I dread the most is wearing the arm compression garment. I ordered 2 and received them today. They are really tight and hate them both equally... lol. The doc said my down time would be very minimal. Keeping my fingers crossed he is right. I am planning to work the following day. I don't do any strenuous activity at work, so I'm hoping I'll do ok. I work at my dads antique mall... all family run. Although I am 46 years old, I'm still afraid to tell my dad that I am having this done ~ha ha ha!! I would have to ask him to work for me that day and I'm too chicken!!! So wish me luck on Tuesday... yikes!!! I am posting a couple of pics before and will definitely post some after shots!!!!

Glad that you had a good result & are happy but your pictures are kind of mixed up. I thought the first few pictures were of your arm after the lipo but then you posted your arm in bandages & then posted more before pictures. Your arm looked pretty good before your procedure. You should see me arms. I'm very small & have lost a lot of weight but the bad way, from illness. I really want these batwings gone. Apparently there is nothing you can do to get rid of batwings except lipo or more invasive surgery no matter what some exercise nut tells you. Girls, don't fall for any of his hype. Nothing works. Your arms look younger & good. Maybe your father would be proud of you for taking the bull (or batwing) by the horn & doing something about it. Good for you.

I know some of my pics are out of order! But noticed it after I posted them. And if there is a way to edit the order... I couldn't figure it out... :/

Smart Lipo Today!!!

So I had my procedure done today on my upper arms. Dr. Orseck was magic!!!! I had NO pain... NONE!! I cold obviously feel the movement of my arms, but didn't hurt. The only part I would say was uncomfortable was when he was putting in the numbing medicine. And that was just a sting. No worse than when you go to the dentist. I was in total disbelief!!! I was joking and chit chatting with the doc and the nurse thru the whole thing. My appt was 12. They gave me pain medicine and a Valium. We actually started about one. I was walking out at 2:20. My little incisions are leaking like crazy!!!!! So be prepared for that. I haven't had to take any of my pain pills yet. I took one Advil at about 4:00. As of now I feel fine. I can't post after pics yet because I can't remove the gauze or garment for 48 hours. Which means no shower... yuck!! Lol ???? I am super excited. He removed a total of 500cc of fat. About 250cc from each arm!!!!! Woo hoo!!! I will update in 48 hrs and post pics of the progress.

Thanks for posting all the pics. Great results! Did you notice skin tightening? I also lost weight and am afraid of loose skin.

2 days after smart Lipo

I was able to shower today!!!! So I was finally able to get my original compression garment off. It was pretty yucky from all the draining in the first 2 days. It has seemed to completely stopped draining at this point. I wasn't able to get all the marker of of my arms from the docs. But I am going to post some before/after pics for you to see the progress so far. I did not take photos with my arm straight down before the surgery. So I am posting 2 pics from our vacation this year so you can see the difference. I am still VERY swollen and lumpy! And a little bruising. The incisions are incredible!! I had to really look for a couple of them... lol. The ones under my arms seem to be the worse. Anyways... update for today is that I am pleased so far. I am very optimistic about the final results!! ...and for the record... I only took 1 pain pill this whole time. An Advil before bed each night. The pain for me was very minimal. I will be going to work Friday. So 4 days after the procedure. But could work tomorrow if it had been necessary!!
