Consultation with Dr. Orseck
I have a consultation with Dr.Michael Orseck next week. He is local and I really hope price wise he works out because he does great work (from the photos). Plus, it would be so much better to not have to go out of town.

I have been researching and wanting these procedures since 2000. I am just now to a point where I am definitely done having children and where, financially, it is within my reach. It is only within my reach however, if I go a more unconventional route.
My first choice is a residency surgery clinic. Finding out about such programs is no easy task. In my area there are Duke, UNC, Emory and Wake Forest.
When I first called Wake Forest, the 1st person I spoke with told me she did not know what program I was referring to. :( I called back and that person said they do have it but she was somewhat discouraging when I asked to set up a consultation. She gave me the first available appointment, which was in Feb :(.
I called UNC and was told all their surgeries are performed by attending surgeons so they do not offer surgery at discounted prices. (Does that mean the surgeons who are training there do not perform surgeries independently there ever?). I have not called Emory or Duke yet. I have read a review on here about Emory that was discouraging (rude doctor and the price was the same as going to a private practice).
I do not feel going through a surgery clinic is sacrificing quality at all. I know the mantra is "don't shop for surgery based on price" and "you get what you pay for". I understand that. But I have seen crappy results from high priced surgeons too.
I have around 8k to spend and from what I have read, having all I want done at a resident clinic is very possible at that price.
I asked a question about how to find out about surgical residency programs in the "ask a doctor" section and so far no one has answered. lol. It really is like it's a secret. I get doctors do not want to send work to someone else but if they are charging 15-20k for these procedures, I was never going to be a patient of their's anyway. All of the doctors here went through such a program, I hope. I imagine some even teach at them now. I am so glad I happened to stumble upon the fact this option even exists. It is not something that is advertised for sure.
