Yesterday was the big day. I spent half the night looking at the girls wondering how they would turn out. I finally make it to the hospital and was greeted by a very friendly staff. Once checked in the gave me something to calm my nerves and that was greatly appreciated. Dr. Orseck came in to do his markings and assured me that everything would go fine and my breast would still have much volume. After that everything was a blur. I have a low tolerance for pain and woke up with much discomfort but the nurses and staff took care of that right away. In all surgery started a little after 10 am and I was back home (1.5 hr drive) around 3:30 pm. Once home my husband had to change the bandages because of bleeding and I caught a glimpse. He used staples instead of steri-strips but the girls look SOOOO good. I'm happy I did this and my husband was impressed as well! I will be uploading pictures later.

Congrats! I'm going through Tricare too. My husband is retired after 27years in the Air Force. Tricare has been great about everything. I had staples after a cesarean and the scar turned out very well. It's great to hear you are so happy with the results, thank you for sharing.

I so want a breast reduction. I am 5'6 and normal weight is about 176. I wear a 40 DD. I workout five days a week and it is very difficult to much jumping, jogging, etc with such heavy breasts. I wish you a speedy recovery and can't wait to see pictures. Oh and Dr. Orseck is my doctor too.

I notice that you don't have drains. My breast reduction is on Friday and my doctor isn't using drains either. That seems unusual around here and I wonder why that is?

I'm not sure but I was informed by my surgeon that everyone's case is different. He said before my surgery I may or may not need them. I'm not complaining that I didn't, lol! I guess it just depends on the person and blood loss. Good luck Friday. After the initial shock of seeing my breast for the first time wore off I was and am extremely happy!

They look great and will only get better as they heal. Anchor incision?

Thanks, I can't stop looking at them. Yes, anchor incision.
