I need surgery at this point it is MEDICALLY NECESSARY. I have trouble breathing, tension head aches, blurred vison, nausea, to intermittent nerve pain throughout my entire body, pelvic dysfunction and si joint instability, hot and cold flashes and sensory issues that come and go and feeling like my body can’t hold my neck up. Wearing an abdominal binder seems to help, but I can’t wear one forever. I never said all of this bc when I first started feeling these symptoms in 2015 a lot of doctors just brushed me off and told me I had anxiety(which I’d rather believe) ,but this is not anxiety. They have truly worsened.
I’ve had back pain/disc herniation since a child and In addition, to the abdominal (tumor removal) surgery. I don’t think I ever mentioned, I’ve lost 70lbs naturally, within the last 4 years and I think that has something to do with my core not working and being separated. I believe the time to heal this naturally is over as my symptoms are only getting worse and I now understand how serious this is and I’m just keeping my body unsupported and susceptible to injury.
After being in PT 10 different places for the last 2 years and being on leave from work since August, I have tried every program (tupler, mutu etc). I realized it has everything to do with my abs being separated and overstretched is why the core exercises are not effective. Even doing the core exercises exacerbate my pain. I have to have surgery.
My abdominals are over stretched horizontally and vertically and I also hear gulping sounds and I feel lots of elasticity. 2 post partum therapists told me I have a 5 finger gap in my muscles and I’m sure the MRI will show this as well. In addition, to a banged up back ( which I’ve heard since I was little.) I’ve found a surgeon named Dr. Obaid in Southlake that I think can help me, because I can’t live like this anymore. My body is unstable to the point where walking, sitting, driving and doing normal occupational things cause me to feel like I need to hold on to something for support. I have to go back to work and get on with my life. I’m hopeful that my insurance will cover this, as they have covered everything since 2015, including the micro-discectomy I had, that only made things worse. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please let me know.
I'M READY TO LIVE LIFE.
