Finally

Hi everybody! I'm so excited to finally show my new nose! I am so in love with it NOW, but it was definitely a learning experience. Of course, right after cast removal I was very skeptical of all the swelling etc. But now that my nose has calmed down I'm very happy with the result and what it looks like after only 3 weeks. :)
My friends have all been saying that my nose looks so natural and enhanced (which is what I wanted all along). Happy happy :) :)

Also, my doc said that the tip will go down more every day. I can't even feel the tip of my nose yet, lol. Still swollen, I guess.
January 10, 2015
My tip is still numb too and I feel you about the whole swelling thing! I'm still waiting lol but you look amazing!!!!!

Up Until Today (Long Rant)

I have to say that the first 5 days were hell for me. I struggled tremendously with nausea while taking pain pills. I was SO thankful for the nausea dissolvable tablets.... I still did not have an appetite, though.
TMI WARNING:
This is not something I knew about and was really hard for me to get through. Bowel movements. The nurses at the office demanded that I had a bowel movement by day three, and of course the stool softeners didn't work. So, I had to use a suppository, AKA the devil itself. So, be mindful before you get a facial surgery..... :'"(

Today has been good, though. I am FINALLY off hydrocodone and onto Tylenol. I managed to clean my nostrils myself with peroxide & water, which made them leak for the rest of the day. I wasn't wearing a drip pad before today, but now I have to. Eh :| Overall I feel good and my cast removal is Tuesday. A big day. I know I'll feel better as the days pass! :)

We had surgery on the same day! Those pain pills seriously are the devil. I could only manage taking one the second night and woke up so sick and throwing up three times that night. I unfortunately had to have my fiancé get the suppositories too. Talk about no censorship in a relationship! I'll never ever take a prescription pain pill again. Or take for granted regular poops! Ha! Hope you're feeling better today. My cast comes off as well on Tuesday. So nervous and excited!! Hang in there lady!

I'm so happy your surgery is over too :) I know about those pain pills too they are a nightmare. I wasn't having any bleeding or discharge from my nose the first days but yesterday and today is just coming :( I can't wait to see our results :) ♡

Thanks for your TMI post! I'm having my surgery in a week, so I've been looking at people who just had theirs for tips on recovery. I'm going to stock up on all the over the counter stuff I might need. What nausea tablets have you been using?

No problem! But I would say that it really depends on how sensitive you are to pain pills. If you don't have a sensitive tummy, unlike me, you shouldn't be worried. The nausea pills prescribed were called ondansetron and were great bc they dissolved in your mouth and worked in like 2 sec. Good luck to you:)

Hang in there! I, too, had surgery on 12/17 along with you and aimee85 so we're pretty much on the same schedule. While I surprisingly had no ill effect from the Oxycodene, it did back me up so I ended up having to take a Colace on Day 3 and I've been okay since then. I transitioned from Oxycodene to Ibuprofen yesterday, and my bowels seem to be okay on its own now. I think I finally got over having to wear my drip pad yesterday. (I put it on overnight though because I didn't want to mess up my sheets just in case). But it's off now again. I still have drainage, but it's only a small amount that I can wipe with a tissue and it's not that frequent - can't wait for it to stop. My cast removal is tomorrow as well! I can't wait to really see my new nose! Good luck to you!

I have the same thing but overnight I don't drip, however during the day I have to wear a small drip pad. So annoying. But my appt is tomorrow too so post your photos so I can see!
