After having weightloss surgery 10 years ago I knew I was going to need cosmetic surgery on my stomach, butt, arms and inner thighs. So I researched and saved my money for the tummy tuck first, which I love. A year later I decided to do the butt lift. Well I looked at a few doctors on Real Self and went to see Dr. Obaid. The consult with him went well and I decided to go with him. The staff was very nice and according to education he was highly qualified. Leading up to my surgery on 3/12/15 everything was great. After the surgery when I got home I looked in the mirror and my butt was still flat, I thought it was the medication, so the next day I looked again in detail and it didnt have any projection and looked the same. I was worried so I texted the nurse with my concerns and Dr. Obaid called me back quickly to address my concerns. He assured me that he would make sure that I was happy and that I would see change as the swelling went down. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but was still concerned that it would not meet my expectations of the projection and fullness that I wanted and paid for. Well it has been 4 weeks and I see very little change, there is no way my butt will plump up with projection in its current state. I go back to the doctor next week and intend to discuss options for a revision. I am not sure how much fat he transferred, but I dont think it was enough nor placed in the needed lower area to shape it. This has been an emotional and financial roller coaster and I hope he will be able to make me happy one way or another. I just hate having to go through this procedure again and take off more time from work and just deal with the pain. Can anyone shed some light on the revision process?

Inquire via Dr. Hughes on Realself.com about the dimpling effect in your buttocks. Cellulite and the procedure necessary to alleviate the appearance of both.

You needed a butt lift, and not a Brazilian. For some odd reason, a lot of these doctors just aren't explaining this at consult. A woman heard the word "lift" and she thinks it's what she wants, but doesn't realize the bbl is an extremely poor choice if one already has a badly shaped/ disproportionately big butt. It's going to make your butt look even worse. And that "cellulite" is probably not cellulite, but a result of all that tissue jammed into the butt giving it a cottage cheese-ish character.

Did you ever get it fixed.

He told me that I would have to wait until October before he could be sure of what the next step was so I have a visit with him the first week in October and then I will repost the plan. My butt has some minor improvements but still not satisfied because my jeans and tights don't look good without butt pads. Plus I paid too much money to still need to wear butt pads. I will keep you posted and thanks for checking on me.
