After having weightloss surgery 10 years ago I knew I was going to need cosmetic surgery on my stomach, butt, arms and inner thighs. So I researched and saved my money for the tummy tuck first, which I love. A year later I decided to do the butt lift. Well I looked at a few doctors on Real Self and went to see Dr. Obaid. The consult with him went well and I decided to go with him. The staff was very nice and according to education he was highly qualified. Leading up to my surgery on 3/12/15 everything was great. After the surgery when I got home I looked in the mirror and my butt was still flat, I thought it was the medication, so the next day I looked again in detail and it didnt have any projection and looked the same. I was worried so I texted the nurse with my concerns and Dr. Obaid called me back quickly to address my concerns. He assured me that he would make sure that I was happy and that I would see change as the swelling went down. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but was still concerned that it would not meet my expectations of the projection and fullness that I wanted and paid for. Well it has been 4 weeks and I see very little change, there is no way my butt will plump up with projection in its current state. I go back to the doctor next week and intend to discuss options for a revision. I am not sure how much fat he transferred, but I dont think it was enough nor placed in the needed lower area to shape it. This has been an emotional and financial roller coaster and I hope he will be able to make me happy one way or another. I just hate having to go through this procedure again and take off more time from work and just deal with the pain. Can anyone shed some light on the revision process?

Hi, I am not 100%sure about what I'm aabout to tell you but usually doctors make you lose a percentage of weight before making these kind of surgeries, because of your health for one and because of the results afterwards. I believe he needed to lipo more but didnt because too much can cause health issues and may result in needing blood transfusion.
Have you bee wearing a faja? and If so getting massage too so help with the swelling?
Your tt seems to look real nice from ur side picture btw! stay strong and update us with your doc's appointment! xo

Thanks for the encouragement! he said that I had more than enough fat so he didn require I lose any weight. I agree with you and dont think enough fat was added to my butt. I will keep you all posted on what he proposes to get a rounder butt. i have been wearing my garment and foam pads, so what is a faja and how will it help?

Faja is a compression garment. Don't think you need to Compress ur buttocks anymore. Perhaps a Squeem instead. Its made of Spandex. Minimal, more comfortable compression for the other areas but not smashing your buttocks. You can also opt for a Faja with the buttoks out if you can tolerate the thong. It may help to continue shaping/cuffing your buttocks. In the small of you back (commonly referred to as the scoop) and providing the cuffing effect at the bottom of your buttocks separating them from the back of your thighs. Good luck!

Omg...my doctor is Mendieta The best in Miami he said! My butt looks like yours..big square hip and flat Lower buttock! I stated exactly what I wanted at the Consultation and then again just before I went into surgery, The very same day my daughter said to me...mommy your butt looks the same way it did before ...only the upper hip was plumper just like yours,
He said to me that my butt is too tight to put any fat there, so I said why didn't you tell me this at the consultation? He then said I will see what I can do...he continued to say that he can suck the fat from my inner crack... I said no you were suppose to continue the form from that area and that's what will enable me to have a nice full rounded lower butt! I got no real answer other than being jerked around! And those doctors Say they do body sculpturing maybe with 120 pounds not with 160 pounds then it becomes a challenge they can't handle!
I do hope your dr. is somewhat better than mine and will fix his screwup good luck.
